I was planning on staying here one night to get one more beach day of summer. Unfortunately they called me the day before I was supposed to leave and said they overbooked. If you want to guarantee a stay somewhere, book somewhere else. This is very poor running of a business and I will not be attempting to stay here again.

My family and I came and stayed three nights four days. Upon arriving early before check in Will had our room ready and was very accommodating. Only 12 Rooms that surround the Pool with upfront parking for ALL. Great location within walking distance to boardwalk and restaurants. Rooms and Pool very clean. Another property of ownership on Ocean Avenue (driftwood motel)allows entrance to Private beach with outside breakfast and lunch menus. Awesome lunch at the beach. This is now my go to affordable/private feeling spot at Pt. Pleasant/Jenkinson’s Beach.

Manager at front was super helpful and friendly, accommodated us at all requests we had. Place was clean and the pool was great too! We will come back again and it was a great location in walking distance to the beach and to many great restaurants!

I stayed here with friends for the first girls trip in 2 years! Small compared to other motels in the area but very well appointed. Clean, modern, and quiet. The bed was very comfortable, the AC worked well, and the pool area was spacious & clean. New towels were delivered in the morning and the trash was taken out. My only two cons...I wish the staff had masks on when entering rooms and I wish there was a full length mirror in the room. It's located 1 block from Patio Bar/Wharfside and a 10 minute walk to the beach/Jenks Inlet Bar (on the beach with food, drinks, & music). I would absolutely recommend this Inn and will stay here again with friends and/or family.

My friend and I stayed here the weekend before Memorial Day. From what I gather, this hotel just recently re-opened. The price was really affordable, so I'd say it was good for what we paid for - a no-frills, small motel with some amenities. THE GOOD: - They let us check in a couple hours early (though we were only one of two rooms occupied the first night) - Small property so never crowded and everything was easily accessible - Easy street parking - Walking distance (10 mins) to Point Pleasant Beach/Jenkinson's Boardwalk and 25 mins to "downtown" - Were able to use the beach near sister property Driftwood Motel (10 min drive away) - Room was clean and stocked with microwave, small fridge, and hairdryer (just lacking coffee maker and bedside clock) THE BAD: - Though front desk guy was friendly, he did not provide a ton of info (we were later told that he was new)...although some hotel-specific info was posted on the back of our door - No housekeeping/cleaning of our rooms during the stay (only before and after) - Parking lot was crowded with tight spots - Bird poop on many of the pool chairs THE UGLY: - Wi-fi BARELY worked our entire stay...I used up almost all of my limited data plan while there - Pool was not heated! Maybe "heated" is based on perception - Pool was "closed for cleaning" without warning our last day (though there was no one there) - Shower went hot and cold every time we used it (we did let front desk guy know) Overall a decent stay with a few minor issues.

The Boardwalk Beach Motel was a great little place for Mother’s Day weekend. No frills, but clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, and anything here that sounds negative is just to make you aware of what you should expect. None of it was a problem for us. Two double beds, three pillows per bed, sheets and comforter. They also provided a roll-a-way at our request with sheets, blanket and pillow. Clean cold refrigerator with small interior freezer compartment. No microwave or coffee maker. There was an ice bucket, but I didn’t go looking for ice. Flatscreen television on the wall. The floors were tiled, much cleaner than carpet, but it’s chilly on the feet. There wasn’t a lot of spare floor area in the room. With the roll-a-way set up, it got tight to move around it. A dresser under the television and small closet area in the room are the only areas to store things. No table or chair in the room. A chair outside your door though, looking at the pool. The bathroom was small. Stand up shower compartment with clean shower curtain. Small sink, no counter space, four sets of clean towels. Just bath towels and washcloths, no hand towels. 2-in-1 shampoos, soap, and lotion. No hair dryer. The rooms surround the central courtyard pool. It was clean and open, but too chilly to be used. I can understand that the pool might get loud in the rooms, they all open onto the central courtyard/pool area, but the motel had signs saying they enforced the pool hours. Parking is right off the street at the motel entrance, and maneuvering into the tight spots could be a challenge, but parking in a beach town is always challenging. There were enough open spaces when I parked so that I backed in, and had no trouble pulling out. It was a very short walk to the Lobster Shanty restaurant - which is why we chose this motel, and a short walk to the north end of the boardwalk. The reservation process (by telephone) and check in and check out were friendly and easy. I would go back anytime.

This was my second time visiting the area but I was taking my hunny on a quick birthday weekend and thought this would be perfect. Of course I picked the one weekend temperatures were in the low 70s to high 60s. Arrrgh! Anyway. Check-in was between 3pm-6pm but due to car trouble I didn’t leave New York until much later than expected. At 7:32pm a gentleman from the hotel (I asked his name twice and we had a full convo so I’m embarrassed I can’t remember his name) called to confirm we were still coming. I assured him I’d be there by midnight. When we pulled up the motel had a very nostalgic feel. Like the motels in one of those movies....where the girl is 17 and her boyfriend is 24 and her parents don’t want them together but they can’t stay a part so they runaway together, rob a convenience store for cash and a six pack of beer. Then check into this kind of motel. Jump the fence to get into the closed pool. Then smoke cigarettes and drink beer with their feet dangling in the pool.....yea that kind of energetic quaintness LOL. We checked in at 11:42pm and the clerk was very friendly. We asked about late night eats and he directed us to a few spots. We checked into room #3. It was small but clean. My only complaints were the toilet ran the entire weekend and there was a strong smell of “wet mildew” in the room. No, we didn’t complain because we knew the hotel was completely booked and it wasn’t terrible. Opting not to go to the boardwalk we drove around trying to find food only to realize there a 24 hour 7-Eleven 0.4 miles away. We bought snacks and headed back to the room. The room was nice and chilly so we gave the AC a short break. We turned off the AC but when we turned it back on....BOOM the mildew smell flooded the room and I swear I inhaled most of it. A little scary but I refused to think of the long term possibilities 😩. Next day hunny slept late and we didn’t hit the boardwalk until 2pm. The weather was still cool and cloudy. The beach was closed. We grabbed a bite on the boardwalk (Martell’s Tiki bar, inside part) and headed back to the room. The pool was empty except for one couple. We changed into our swimwear and jumped it. The heated pool was a welcomed amenity!!!!! After a long splash and a quick nap we headed back to Martell’s just after 10pm. Street parking was easy to find. We ordered food and danced to the live band. It was VERY CHILLY but we had sweaters. Next morning we checked out. We found a very cheerful blonde woman (the owner) stripping beds. All in all the experience was great and we’d definitely come again.

Positive Comments: My room in this motel was very clean and the office staff were very pleasant and informative about local restaurants. Negative Comments: The motel is very noisy because all rooms surround the pool in a U shape and the children scream while in the pool. Also, the rooms are not well insulated for sound. While in my room I could hear the TVs and people talking while in their adjacent rooms or while sitting outside on the chairs. My room was not worth the $215/night + taxes and I would not stay here again because the negative comments outweigh the positive comments.

This place was amazing. Super clean! Bed was comfortable with nice quality sheets and comforter. I like that is was all tile which made it seem even cleaner. The pool was really nice and there are plenty of loungers. It's walking distance to the beach and some restaurants. The owner was so nice and accommodating. It's the perfect no frills kind of beach resort I was looking for. I am mostly at the beach and a the pool so for me this was perfect since it was clean and comfortable my car was parked right in front. There is also cable and free WiFi which is a nice bonus and an even better bonus was a mini fridge and microwave. .
