The rooms r clean but that’s about all i have nice to say about this place. you r not allowed to smoke anywhere on the premises you actually have to leave the premises to smoke. We were told they have ice . me and other hotel guests were looking for it only to find out it is locked up so no one can get to it and can only get some when someone is in the office during office hours to get it for you.. there was people running all night and morning above us that we couldn't get any sleep or stay asleep… They only have 2 chairs but the room accommodates 4 . Will definitely be looking for another location to stay at when I come to visit Point Pleasant Beach.. All around Disappointment definitely not worth the money spent.
One of the lowest price accommodations in the area, but very clean and friendly. There are a variety of types of rooms, but we really just needed a comfortable place to lay our heads as we were in town for a family celebration. The bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. Our room (#2) was quite small and I wouldn't advise it for someone very large since using the bathroom could be a problem as the toilet is a tight squeeze, but it was fine for us. This room also was at the end of the building and close to the main street, so was a little noisy. Running the AC through the night solved the issue. I would gladly stay there again, but would request a larger room if I was staying longer than 2 nights.
This motel is family owned & is perfect for a short getaway. Its clean & just what we needed. Point Pleasant is a nice beach town that has many restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend Spikes. It has very good food. I will definitely be back.
This was one of the cheaper places to stay in Point Pleasant when we had to stay for a wedding we were attending this fall. We were upgraded to an apartment, which was nice. There were stand alone heaters that worked great to warm the place up. I slept great on the bed and pillows. Very comfortable, usually I don't sleep well at hotels. The person who check us in was nice. The shower was a pretty small but the water was hot. We weren't there long enough to use the tv's or kitchenette so I can't really say anything about those but they did exist. This motel isn't on the beach or anything so there is no view. There is restaurant like right next door you can walk to. Overall a good stay.
July 4th weekend is clearly a busy month and that you have to pay more is understandable, but Shore Point Motel is taking it a step to far. Paying $158 dollars + tax etc. for a one star motel is a total rip off. Rooms were outdated, they tried to renovate them but it was a clear job of a lick of paint, outdated furniture and a very small and old bathroom and you could hardly find space to sit on the toilet (and we are not actually big people), Never again and certainly do not recommend others to book this hotel.
The most disrespectful lady up front had nothing but negative responses to a family near us. I just couldn't believe the things I heard this woman say. If you're looking for cheap and low quality service here ya go, if you want a family experience this place will help you with a bad one. STAY AWAY
Been coming back here for some holiday weekends and other weekends though out the summers since July 2014. I've been here often enough where the staff knows me every time I show up, and have had friends of mine booking rooms for themselves. Yes, no thrills motel. Bring your own shower stuff, but why is that an issue when the staff is beyond friendly and will always make you feel comfortable by striking up a convo with you. Grounds, rooms, and pool are clean, and staff accommodating; free parking on site and free beach passes. Less than 10 min walk to the END of the boardwalk, and another 10 min peaceful stroll along the boardwalk to hit the rides and major bars. Who cares, its summer, enjoy the weather and walk! FOOD: There is a breakfast/lunch spot - I'm a Local Beach Cafe. They open early but get there fast and enjoy your peaceful breakfast at an outside table. GREAT food btw! Also try The Patio Bar a 2 min walk from the small road behind the hotel. OR, just ask the staff. You have a boardwalk full of options! Just booked my stay for next month!…
My boyfriend and I have been vacationing every September after labor day for the last 4 years to Point Pleasant NJ. Typically staying at the same place. This year I decided to do a little more research. What a find! Shore point is clean, comfortable, quiet and is conveniently located within walking distance to all great restaurants and the boardwalk. Our host Terri was charming and very accomodating. Upon Check in she upgraded us to an efficiency apartment with all the emmenties. We were so thrilled. It made our trip extra special. This is definitely a must for your travel plans to the Jersey Shore. We have already planned on staying here next year!
Exactly what I would expect at a small Jersey Shore motel. Everything is clean, rooms, pool, etc... There is no luxury here, so if that is what you are seeking you will have to stay somewhere more expensive.
We had a reservation this past week and had to cancel because our eldest son passed away unexpectedly Friday. Booking.com told the owner of our situation and asked if the cancellation could be waved due to our emergency they declined. I could not believe it. Needless to say we will never be staying here.
