It's convenient and does the job, nothing spectacular. The shower pressure was subpar. The towels are very low quality. If you are staying in the area, you need a car to travel around comfortably. What I did like was the view from the 9th floor. The beds are very comfortable. I enjoyed the different events the hotel hosted sometimes. For example, my partner and I got to enjoy a comedy show for $30 each (though it only lasted one hour). There is a nice bar downstairs with a restaurant (however, it's only open for dinner).

What a great hotel and the staff were fantastic. Every interaction was positive on a really busy weekend for them with the Army v Navy game. When I had a problem with the internet it was quickly sorted. When I asked for an alternative option for the restaurant dining that was supported with the provision of local delivery menus. The only poor experience was at breakfast on the last day where the service fell below that which i had enjoyed but it was a Monday!! When I met Greg the manager and asked if he would speak with the Met Life stadium to request and advertising piece that was in the foyer he could not have been more accommodating. This is a great hotel with great service in a great location.

I have mixed feelings about my stay in this hotel. Check-in was efficient. And the room was spacious, but dark, even with all of the lights turned on (I hate it when a room is too dark to discern a black vs a navy sock). The room was clean at first glance, but if you looked behind/under the toilet, for example, there was dust/dirt, and the wall had a strange brown smear just above eye level. The shower was nice, and contained eco-friendly, large, bottles of Aveda Rosemary Mint shampoo (lovely!) conditioner and body wash attached to the wall. Guests also are allotted a small bottle of Aveda body lotion, and a small bar of Aveda hand soap for the bathroom sink. But be sure bring any and every other amenity you may need from home - such as cotton rounds or cotton swabs. The room also had a hair dryer (but I had brought my own), a safe and a full-length mirror. I was offered breakfast vouchers (apparently not all guests are allowed this perk). Breakfast included small General Mills cereal containers and a lovely small spread of fresh fruit. Regular fruit and a few hot buffet options were also served, if that’s your thing, along with bottled water, milks and juices. The woman staffing the breakfast was nice and conscientious. My room had two beds. One felt lumpy, the other less so. The variety of pillows was appreciated. My room was serviced the first night, but when I arrived home late from a work dinner the second night, it had not been cleaned. I had to go down to the front desk, where I had to wait a bit for the attendant to arrive from the depths of a back room. When I stated that my room hadn’t been cleaned, before I even had a chance to ask for fresh towels, the man at reception said “I don’t know, I wasn’t here.” I asked for towels. He brought out hand towels and wash cloths. I asked for a bath towel. He said he was out. He then said he would call someone. I went back to my room and a few minutes later a very NICE man did bring me towels (and some body lotion and a fresh soap at my request), and apologized for the cleaning oversight and offered to empty my trash. I appreciated the apology and his swift correction. I slept in the second bed in my room since the first hadn’t been re-made up. Would I stay again? If I had no choice as it was close to the office I was visiting. Uber service around 7:45 am only took between 5-10 minutes to arrive all three mornings. The hotel is close to Medieval Times and The America Dream Mall.

Just checked out of the Rensissance today after a very nice stay. Rooms appear to be newly renovated, and were very fresh and clean. All the basic amenities were there, with a great walk in shower. Food in the restaurant, Finches was very good as was the service of a great bartender there. Overall, a great product at a reasonable price.

Our appreciation of the stay is very mixed, hence our late response to this survey. The first two days were catastrophic and the other two were not more than satisfactory. When we arrived at the hotel (at 1 a.m., the night of December 29-30) the room we had reserved (with 2 queen size beds) did not exist. The most offensive thing was that we were informed only after the receptionist asked me to pay for the stay! We were a couple, with a 6 year old asleep in our arms and NO room! The receptionist called her manager who said he would help us, but to my surprise, he disappeared... I waited 20 minutes for the receptionist to tell me that he was not looking for a room for us, but rather bringing towels to the other rooms! She offered to put us in a room with a king bed and, after I asked, she informed us that it would be impossible to lend us a single mattress for our child. Despite my openness to dialogue, I waited until the manager came back (after the receptionist called him incessantly on the phone). When he came, I said: We will stay in the room with an only king bed for tonight, but I want a receipt for the payment I made and a refund of the difference of the amount I paid (nothing more natural, right?!). To my surprise, he said that the system didn't allow him to give me a receipt at that time and he LIED to me saying that the room with a king bed was more expensive than the room I had booked (with 2 queen beds - a lie that was easily verified on the website). During this time (a little over an hour), my husband and daughter waited in the lobby (at 2am!!!) The next morning, the receipt had been left under my door and the manager in place told me to prepare our bags because we would be changed to another room (which happened very well). However... when we returned to the hotel, around 8pm, THERE WAS NO HOT WATER! The problem was fixed a little less than an hour later, but by then we had all taken a cold shower. The rest of the days went better, except that every day one of us took a cold shower, because there was no hot water on our floor. After all this, no compensation was offered to us... No one seemed comfortable with our difficulties... A hotel that, during the vacations, should represent a place of comfort and pleasure, caused us a very considerable amount of discomfort. I am absolutely sorry, but I will not recommend this hotel.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel was nice and clean, plus the food in the bar was solid. But what made the stay amazing was the staff! Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful! A special shoutout to Dan who works overnight. He was incredibly friendly and looked forward to seeing him each morning! Thanks for a great stay!

Parking was easy and check in was seamless. After discovering they were at 95% occupancy, I was assigned to a room on the 6th floor that faced the highway. Upon opening the door, I noticed just how sparse the decor in the room was. No bottled water, no art on the walls that jumped out at me… but the bed was super comfy! I had dinner downstairs at Finch’s and was informed the owner of the hotel was in the bar so very one was on edge and scrambling to make sure he was attended to. I find it a shame he required so much attention during peaks hours like dinner. Dinner was “okay” - I had chicken breast which was on the bone and drier than it should have been along with mashed potatoes. The crème brûlée cheesecake seemed as if it had once been frozen and was a bit dry as well. Nothing with chocolate on the dessert menu which was disappointing for someone who loves chocolate. Not a complaint - just a suggestion. But, my server Maureen was wonderful. Very personal and welcoming. I had a do not disturb door hanger on my door and was disturbed anyway. He wanted to confirm my departure time…? Check out was a little chaotic. New people were being trained (congrats on the new jobs!) but the front desk manager was distracted and kept asking me the same questions over and over because my answers didn’t seem to be registering. I went into finch’s to grab some coffee and was given it on the house by a very nice woman. It was only a one night stay for business in the area. All in all, the property is fine and service was great.

Recently renovated - lobby and conference space is glamorous. My work team met up for drinks before and after dinner at Finch’s and were pleasantly surprised with Mo! She has the greatest personality and attended to our group of 7 readily with another 8-10 people in the bar eating and drinking. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff here has a nasty attitude. they are incredibly rude and have no ability to talk with people. Its a shame there is no hospitality anymore! Marriott needs to do better.. training, hiring.. just no respect at this hotel. The front desk/management team I have spoken with over the last day or 2 has been completely appalling.

I was in bed and ants began to crawl on me and in the bed. I was in room 915 and had to call the front desk twice before anyone came to assist. Had to throw away the breakfast that I just had delivered. I was moved to another room and was serenaded the entire night with a running toilet. The room was over 300.00/night so I used 60K points to stay. They offered me 10K points for my troubles. The hotel rooms need updating and definitely not worth the 347.00 per night that they were charging. I will never stay there for any return visits for football games regardless of proximity to MetLife Stadium. I felt like I had ants on me all night.
