We arrived at the hotel at 2:30 pm on Saturday March 18, 2023 after our trip from Ottawa, Canada. We booked rooms via Expedia to find out that we only had 1 reservation; there was no room booked at this particular Red Roof Inn for my son and his wife (they had been booked by mistake at another Red Roof Inn in the area). The front desk people were very helpful especially Beverly. Beverly was very reassuring and she did find us another room at a decent rate. The reservation made by Expedia at the other hotel was cancelled; we didn't find Expedia to be the least bit helpful in resolving their mistake. Thank you Beverly for your kindness and assistance!! The rooms were clean and bright, and the rest of the staff that we encountered were very friendly.

I REALLY ENJOYED MY STAY. THE STAFF AT THE FRONT DESK WAS SUPER HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. THEY GAVE US DIRECTIONS TO BUS STOP, EVEN HIGHLIGHTED BUS TIMES ON THE SCHEDULE FOR ME. SUPER EASY TO GET TO NYC FROM LOCATION & AMERICAN DREAM MALL. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN, I ENJOYED MY VIEW OF RIVER. WHEN THE SUN SETS. THE VIEW IS JUST AMAZING AND RELAXING. This place does not have refrigerator or microwave in the rooms. They also don’t mention this when making reservations. If you need to stay more than one night, please go somewhere else. (This place is like putting lipstick on a pig)

Spotlessly clean room, bed was very comfortable, the front staff was polite and efficient, and as nice a view as possible in Secaucus (hotel backs to the Hackensack River). My wife and I had a very nice stay here. One thing kept us from a 5 star rating - the pillows were so fluffy that they crimped our necks while sleeping, we eventually both threw them off and used clothing as pillows. We would certainly return if we get in the area again. Thank you.

The rooms were incredibly dirty, from the carpets to the mold in the bathroom. There was food UNDER the mattress, stains on the bed skirt of some liquid that had long ago dried up, and water stains on the ceiling, Easily the worst place we have ever stayed, and paid 305$USD/night.

I stayed here with my son while transitioning my move. The staff( Diamond, Beverly and Peter) were amazing and very helpful. The view of the river was amazing and the prices were appealing. Transportation to NYC is right outside during the weekdays.

Positives: - The check-in staff, Marie, practiced actively listening. Flexible and helpful. - Red Roof Inn's check-in requirements are more flexible to cover wider range of scenarios. - This property has elevators - Plenty of parking - Check-out staff, Marsha, provided smooth check out. She took feedback with a positive attitude. - the bed was clean. Negatives: - It's a motel, so room condition isn't as modern with more wear and tear. - This is out of hotel's control. There was an inconsiderate neighbor staying in the same hotel knocking the wall or hitting the wall 3 times early in the morning around 6am that woke me up. - Hairs (long brown hairs) found on the bathroom floor. - Partially working hair dryer. You must keep holding the switch in order for the dryer to work. As soon as you release it, it stops working. - Broken heater, the room was cold. They turned on A/C louder, hence, colder but told me otherwise, saying it would make the room warmer. If the hotel does a better job cleaning with working central air/temperature control to increase the room temperature, this would have earned a 3 out of 5 or 4 out of 5 rating.…
