Customer service at check in was very welcoming. Rachelle was amazing. Magna in housekeeping was very helpful. The breakfast was so amazing. I wish that I could’ve utilized the pool & gym. I’ll be back.
Our family stayed here for the Christmas weekend, and couldn’t have had a better experience. The price was reasonable for this hotel; the rooms were nice; the breakfast at the hotel was delicious and reasonably priced (as long as you ordered a la carte, not buffet); and the staff was warm, welcoming, and delivered exceptional service throughout our stay. Special thanks to Heather at the front desk, for helping us with an early check-in as well as a couple of other minor things. And hats off to the others at the front desk and in the restaurant, who were equally warm and service/oriented. Did I mention that the indoor pool is beautiful, and the hot tub will melt your cares away? Will return again, the next time we are in town
If there was a 5+ I would give it to this hotel. This is a cared for hotel and is shows. Staff is friendly and inviting. Restaurant clean, food delicious and service was excellent. The employees at the Hotel take pride in what they do. Thank you!
Hotel needs an upgrade. Very tired. A bit run down and depressing the room was clean and convenient, but kinda blah. The common properties are also run down, sidewalks cracked, garage gloomy and way larger than is necessary. We chose the property because of its location and might stay there again to visit our nearby family but do not look forward to our return there.
Clean with good facilities, very comfortable beds. rude arrogant reception staff. , we’re not helpful at all. I felt unwelcome. Very dissatisfied with the service on check in and check out, no smile from them or welcome message , 3 of them just stood there with snobbish attitude. Terrible as we were a very large wedding party!!!
I travel a lot and this hotel took my breath away. The rooms are immaculately clean. Providing stunning decor, nuanced for practical business use and calming to the senses. If you want to be WOWd not far from home, Short Hills Hotel is a hidden jewel. Thank you for the unparalleled staff.
After numerous stays at the Short Hills Hilton, our Thanksgiving accommodations proved to be yet another exceptional customer service experience. Very sad to check out because the hotel is so clean, comfortable and inviting!!!!! Bring back the spa and we’ll move in!!!!!! Dotti and Rachel at the front desk are a true credit to the Hilton experience. The best of the best!!!!!
The hotels thermostat and heating doesn’t work. The engineer’s advice was to increase the thermostat to 82, the highest setting. The heat never rose above 68. It was freezing and drafty! It is a systemic problem because while the heat may seem individually controlled at the room level, I am almost sure that is a sham. I believe it’s controlled centrally and everybody has the same temperature desire the appearance of individual controls.
Staff was absolutely over-the-top friendly and helpful. Was able to take Uber to a variety of local areas to sightsee in between meetings. Highly recommend Maplewood, Summit and Chatham. Food was great at hotel
Absolutely nasty hotel manager. She was no help at all. We prepaid for 3 nights and had a family emergency so could not stay the 3rd night. We had 3 people in a room so asked for 2 hotel rooms since we are paying for 3 nights. We were passively aggressively told that this could not be done. The hotel was not booked. Save your money and stay somewhere else. 1 star service
