My husband and I stayed here for our first anniversary (intended to be more of a honeymoon) and it was wonderful! The room was clean and well appointed, the staff was very accommodating (we had a late check-in and check-out), and the complementary items from the other shops were wonderful! Definitely found my new favorite soap. We have been coming...

Checkin person was nice and personable. She didn't tell the wifi password and most places do, but we found it in the room. Had the Great Bay room, which is in the main inn building. Beautiful room and awesome bathroom (five shower heads!) Had a deck but didn't use it due to biting flies. However, the smell when entering the...

The accommodations are very nice and it's a fun place to stay. The employees are all very friendly and helpful. And then there are the cookies......

I have eaten lunch here more times than I can count. For today's lunch, my sister and I enjoyed the fried tomato appetizer. They're not green tomatoes served Southern style. Rather, they're red, sliced thick, breaded, fried, served over greens, with cheese, roasted peppers and a balsamic drizzle. Dee-lish! Next, I had an expertly cooked piece of salmon (moist!) over...

The wife and I took a mid-week retreat to the Colonial Inn in Historic Smithville. We were greeted warmly and offered coffee/tea and a snack upon arrival. Then we made our way to the barn which is separated from the main inn. Room was nicely appointed and comfortable. Our door led directly outdoors. If you don't like that, keep that...
