Joe and Hellin, are fantastic hosts. The house is Victorian and our room was beautiful. A lovely breakfast is served in the beautifully appointed dining room. Only a block from the beach. We will definitely be returning.

We stayed at Johnson House due to the other reviews and the location -- just one block to the beach. From the moment you arrive until you leave, Hellin & Joe make you feel at home. Whether you're relaxing in the TV room (where we met some very interesting guests), or swinging or rocking on the beautiful porch, you feel...

Lovely B&B in a quiet residential neighborhood. The little touches especially the stained glass & the balcony off my in-law’s room were charming. The parking was a bit tight but it’s only 1.5 blocks to Ocean Avenue for easier parking if you don’t want to deal with the shared lot. We parked on the street during the day. The owners...

We have stayed at the Johnson House many times and will do so again in Sept. Its our favorite place to stay on the shore. The house is beautiful and Hellin & Joe go out of their way to make their guests feel at home. Walking one block to the beach is fantastic.

Have stayed at Johnson House last 2 summers and can't say enough good things about our experience. Hellin and Joe are friendly and genuinely want their guests to feel at home. Nice, clean rooms and big, comfortable porch. Great location 1 block from the beach.

Once again, on our third visit back in 13 years, we had a wonderful time. The house is completely renovated and beautiful. Inn keepers are friendly, warm people. We love the porch swing...took a bike ride...boardwalk being rebuilt..short walk to town, a few houses to the beach. We will definitely be back, next time with our kids maybe.

The perfect location for 5 friends to catch up. The room was spacious and breakfast was casual. The innkeepers were so gracious yet not oberbearing. The front porch was large and inviting. We plan to return in 2013.

What do you get when you mix: A) ocean breezes on the gracious and spacious front porch, B) historic charm, but updated, clean and comfortable accommodations, and C) the highest level of service from second-generation inn keepers? The Johnson House! I have tried several inns in Spring Lake, and Johnson House is where I will ALWAYS stay. Anyone with allergies,...
