The Minerals Hotel garners praise for its cleanliness with reviewers highlighting the pristine grounds and rooms maintained by diligent housekeeping. While guests commend the spacious accommodations, some have encountered issues with wasps, noise, and a need for updated decor. The hotel's ambiance is celebrated for being both family-friendly and romantic, although signs of wear are noted by some visitors.
Its array of amenities, including pools and spa services, are popular among travelers, despite occasional comments on their outdatedness. Service at the hotel is frequently lauded for its responsiveness, yet opinions on value suggest room for improvement, with high costs and extra charges detracting from the overall experience.

Came for a one night (Thursday) stay. Raven at the front desk was delightful and helpful. Contrary to another review, every hotel stay at Minerals comes with access to the pools on the premises and the gym and saunas. The pool is huge. My husband was able to do his laps which was a great surprise to him at a perfect water temp of 88 degrees! The best is the access to the HUGE outdoor hot sauna. I was out there enjoying the 100 degree water as it was snowing on my head! So unique and fun! At night the pool lights alternate colors and it is so relaxing. The other jacuzzi spas are smaller but were never crowded. We also used the steam room and the dry sauna and did a work out at their gym (mostly older equipment but still functional). We ate at Kites with Ally our server who was very friendly. The Beyond Burger was huge. I had the risotto which was tasty also. The hotel rooms could use some updating as a few things were visibly worn which is why the 4 star rating (closet door stuck, mirror paint worn, blinds a bit crooked), but the bed was comfy and there were plenty of soft mushy pillows which we loved. They have a cell texting service you easily use if you need anything from the front desk or have any questions. Very fast response. They were making snow as we were leaving so for you skiers, you should have some good runs soon! We would go back for sure and next time on a weekend because there is much more to do and so we can try the GOAT YOGA which they only have on Saturdays and Sundays!!!!

luvturqoisesea, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and the amenities we offer :) The snow pool is definitely a major attraction to our guests! As for our rooms they were just remodeled in February of 2018 so I will be sure to notify our management team of your concerns. We hope to have you return and experience other seasons at the Minerals Hotel! Warm Regards, Nicole Sisco

This was our first time here and overall, it was very nice! Here are my pros and cons for other first timers staying in a deluxe two Queen bed room:
Pros:
The pools are amazing. Come for the pools, and the cliff jumping. My kids loved the little hidden cave in the indoor pool and the sprinkler pad outside too.
The staff is friendly. There were plenty of lifeguards all around.
Parking is ample. Lots of lawn chairs outside by the pools.
Beds were comfy.
Beekman in room products?!!! Yes! Love that.
Marshmallow roasting was cute. Complimentary. Pack some chocolate bars and graham crackers from home to make your own s’mores. They give sticks and ziplock bags of marshmallows.
Cons:
Rooms are a bit outdated. There are also no fridges or microwaves so don’t bring back leftovers or you will end up throwing them out.
For a thur-sat trip, there weren’t many complimentary or paid activities for my 5 and 7 year old. Ponies don’t arrive till after we checkout. Most activities were geared for 10 and up. We only roasted marshmallows. It would be great to have a few more options?
We booked the stay, explore play package which came with nice water bottles, 3 packages of trail mix and a neat compass but we were supposed to get a trail/hiking map. It wasn’t in the bag. I asked the front desk for a map. They said they don’t have any. I asked where I should hike and they told me to walk pass the gate and up the hill. We basically walked up the asphalt of the road with cars for about 20 min before turning around bc there clearly were no trails. Just wierd to advertise, no?
If you stay in the odd number rooms facing the back on a Friday (and I imagine, sat night), be prepared to hear loud wedding music from the gazebo across the lawn. My kids were laughing and up till pass 10 bc it was blasting even though we had no balcony and you can hear lyrics to the songs and feel the base through the shut window.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. My kids already asked to come back. Would love to see if more activities can be added and some upgrades to the room!
Ps: we had breakfast 10 min away at Grannies which was delicious!

I went with my family for Martin Luther King weekend. We stayed for two nights at the Minerals Hotel. I want to praise the staff because they were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was ready right away and the resort was very clean. I didn’t know prior to going that they had basketball courts and you can check out a basketball under your room number but you can also bring your own. The hotel has lots of fun activities for kids: balloon twisting, paint your own piggy bank, movie night, free pony rides, s’mores by the fire pit ($10 per bag), animal educators, laser tag games ($10 per person), magic show, etc. Also, it’s right by mountain creek so the location is great for winter activities. The rooms do need a little bit of updating, there are no mini fridges and no drawers to put clothes in other than the closet with a few hangers. My main and major complaint was the pool area. It was beautiful and the outdoor jacuzzi was amazing. However, it was freezing. Since the jacuzzi has an opening to go from the inside to the outside, there is a constant draft inside the indoor pool area. It’s all enclosed with glass and because it snowed you could feel water dripping from the ceiling. The pool water is not hot enough to make it comfortable so we were shivering the entire time. We were only comfortable in the outdoor jacuzzi because the water was hot but my kids could not reach the bottom and I had to hold them the whole time were in it. And once we got out of the pool we were extremely cold. Instead of looking forward to relaxing by the pool, I was actually dreading it because I knew my kids wanted to go regardless. Also, the setup does not make sense. To access the pool, you have to go through the lobby which is FREEZING because the sliding doors are constantly opening. So going to the pool is bad enough but coming out all wet into the cold lobby is torture. I feel like this resort would probably have been better in the summer time but I was very disappointed with the pool area. I would have given it more stars if it wasn’t for this because I was looking to spend way more time in the pool and had to cut it short both days because it was so incredibly uncomfortable. I would probably try it again in the summer but never in the winter.

We stayed at the minerals resort. I usually expect the reality to be different than the professional photographs, but this reality was way worse than expected. We booked the deluxe rooms with the summer getaway package, which was cheaper than their normal room rate plus it included continental breakfast. Still with the discounted rates the resort charges way more than the quality they offer.
Checkin and rooms: The checkin process was ok, the gentleman was professional and very friendly. However when I asked them to provide me with a mini fridge in the room for my parents’ meds, they couldn’t help me. I am not going to blame them as it was a last minute request. But when I went to my room I found out there was a mini fridge and a microwave, which the receptionists did not have a clue that I have it in where I was staying. The rooms were a big disappointment! The windows were outdated with mold growing on it (my son took a picture which I will post later), my parents bathroom toilet paper was not changed, and the same problem with the windows. My room had a funky smell that didn’t go away even when we opened the windows to air it out. The furniture looked new and the room looked newly painted, except the bathroom had paint chipped in some area. The shower was really good and clean.
Outdoor amenities:
The pool was a big disappointment too! If you are going for the outdoors and pool please know that the pool area looks amazing but the larger pool is freezing cold (our stay was in August 2-4). The smaller pool was much better but crowded as you can expect everyone wanting to swim in a comfortable water temp. The indoor pool was open the first night, but then got closed for the second day! So imagine having 2 option, swim in a big freezing pool, swim in a small crowded pool or just sit by the pool. Did such an expensive place you would expect that they would have figured a way to make the pool a better experience. Also you have to expect that all pools get closed with rain.
Breakfast: to go breakfast was provided in a nice and organized manner considering pandemic restrictions.
Hotel dining: overpriced so we ate out.
The second day: After finding our this disappointments we decide to do our of the resort activities, and because all the activities provided by the place is either booked or extremely overpriced we decided to take our children and do the hike. That Really was the best part of our experience.
Checkout: easy and painless process.
I am willing to reveal our room numbers to verify our stay shall a proof is required after seeing those pictures.

It is very nice to be able to enjoy the pool in the winter time. Minerals hotel has a huge inside pool, hot tubs and another big heated (hot!) pool outside in the winter! This is fabulous. But cleanliness of the outside pool needs improvement (rocks, leaves and sometimes plastic glasses on a bottom). The huge disappointment is an inside pool area. Heat is not working there, management is trying to save money by not using heat there in a winter time. Pool water is warm but air is uncomfortably cold. Hopefully they will turn heat on otherwise they will be loosing returning guests and members.

babochka, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I would like to apologize for any inconveniences that occurred during your stay. We try to make sure our outdoor heated pool is consistently clean but it is located outside so there might be a leaf or two we do not immediately get to. As for the indoor pool, the temperature of the air is always at about 75-80. We try to keep it as warm as possible but the pool is almost kept at the same temperature which can cause guests to feel colder when they are coming out of the pool. I hope this does not deter you from returning. Warm Regards, Nicole Sisco

Im sure the hotel is under staffed with Covid but my experience was very poor. I will not be coming back nor bring any of my meetings I plan there. The few things that were enjoyable was the pool and the activities they offer though they all cost extra money. So what does the resort fee cover?
We arrived and the room they gave us was not the one requested and the champagne and strawberries were not in the room upon arrival. They switched us finally and the champagne arrived, though not the type requested.
Upon inspection of the hotel room, I found multiple hairs and one very obvious one on the bed. They did give us new sheets outside our door. The room was dirty. I saw stain marks on the doors and dirt everywhere, which made me feel like if they can't clean the room, then how is it COVID safe. Good thing I brought my own sanitizing spray.
The microwave didn't work, they did give us a new one which worked though they came into our room. Weird how the sheets were just dropped out side but they brought in the microwave.
Next and worst of all, I saw NO ONE cleaning the public areas but once when I heard a vaccuum. I am an early riser, which is normally when the main areas of a hotel are cleaned... not one person was around. Health and Safety of your guests should be top priority especially in the common areas. Someone should have been sanitizing the high traffic areas constantly throughout the day. Hopefully we don't get COVID.
Another item, on their weekly handout of activities and restaurant times, they have posted that the Frosty Cantina closes at 1:30am. We went out at midnight and it was closed. Come to find out they close based on occupancy. No one told us that.
Also, the restaurant was always out of items. We asked for fried zucchini and they were out. We asked for Hofbrauer and they were out. Just seemed like every meal something was out.
We have been trying to reach out to management for days now and no response.
I am very unhappy with our stay and the professionalism of the staff onsite and especially management.
BTW the beds were like sleeping on rocks, if you don't like a hard bed its not for you. The fireplace was a nice touch though.
I am a meeting planner for a large company and will not suggest this venue to hold any of my meetings.

First and foremost, my husband and I are essential workers and have worked non-stop amidst the pandemic (1 yr of no travel, only work). We were finally able to secure a quick getaway to celebrate our 6yr anniversary. We arrived at Minerals all went well until the agent blurted your spa was booked on a day you were not here; we had the friends package which included spa/charcuterie, wine and late check out. We checked in Friday, 4/30/21, my spa was booked Thursday, 4/29/21. I asked if she could fix it she stated yes, your all set. Feeling great at this moment, quick fix all is well(at least I thought). We arrived at our suite ( UG level) and immediately cringed and how out-dated with bugs and dusty the room was, including the plastic outdoor furniture which was completely covered in dirt. The amount of money we paid one would think the room is cleaned to perfection along with a COVID CLEANING SEAL to confirm it has met all standards. I ordered charcuterie board along with wine which was supposed to be delivered upon arrival; it arrived 3 hrs late and thrown together. We were scared to eat it ( I have pictures to prove it) and NOT worth the money. At this point, I’m frustrated, and overwhelmed. 6am Saturday morning we decided to leave and God sent an angel by the name of Tracy O. ( overnight agent/night auditor) who over-turned my entire stay. She was determined to make our anniversary worth while. She connected with Jen at GCL and was able to arrange one night at Grand Cascade along with honoring that horrific cheese board that was severed as sloppy seconds. My husband and I also had our spa day at reflections which ended our weekend getaway on a good note. Cascades is worth every dollar; Minerals not so much. I was over charged by minerals and currently waiting for all charges to be settled. Tracy O, Blake and Jen, thank you so much for going above and beyond. You went above the call even while being short staffed and handled multiple task at once. FYI: Tracy should be compensated and nominated as employee of the Year!!!!

First, I’ll start with some good: The staff was friendly and helpful, even while dealing with some pretty difficult people. The entire resort was evacuated the day before our stay due to power loss and people were being checked back in. Thinking some one should look into emergency generators for a resort that big. The pool was really nice and the outside snow pool was incredible. You share it with nearby timeshare owners, so it gets crowded.
Now the bad: The website shows mostly pictures of their Grand Cascades property and lists amenities that are only on that property. That property is two miles away, No shuttle (covid) some amenities are not available to minerals guests (pool, due to covid). Grand Cascades has a wow factor when you pull up. Minerals not so much, the lobby’s main features are a basketball court and a fieldhouse size gym that people not staying at minerals can use. Not sure if they’re timeshare residents or outsiders who can join the gym. Not horrible but I’ve never checked into a $300+ hotel and these are the main lobby features. Wallpaper peeling off the walls on the way to breakfast, rooms have no mini fridge and no microwave which all $80 Hampton inns have. And don’t be fooled by the credits for breakfast and dinner. Kites restaurant was ok, the meals there were big and reasonable. At Crystal tavern at grand cascades, my wife ordered the same meal I had at kites, skirt steak and French fries. Half the size, served in a basket on paper yet 15 dollars more. Breakfast buffet was minimal and cold, 92 dollars for 2 adults and 2 kids. Overpriced food so it eliminates the benefit of the credit/vouchers. Grand cascades would’ve been the better move had we known, even now with what I know I can’t find this info on their website.

I have been to this place 2 times now, both times have been great. The rooms have been very clean, the hotel has activities going on all the time so you wont get bored! The beds are comfortable which is incredible. The real great thing though, is that the service is great. Every employee that we dealt with has been so accomidating! Vinnie at the front desk and Lauren who cleans the rooms are 2 of the employees who stand out as willing to go to any lengths to help the guests! I had brought food from outside the hotel and forgot forks, so I called the front desk and they had someone run utensils and napkins up immediately! Little things like this are what make minerals one of my favorite places to stay. Plus the pools are fantastic!

While we loved the NYE party and food, we felt that we were misled when it came to our room and rate. We booked the corner luxury suite because we were told it had more space and divide for a family. Not only were we not given a corner room, but it was no larger or compartmentalized than the standard room. It also felt dirty and run down. We paid a significant amount for an upgraded room and were extremely disappointed in the room and service provided. Specifically, we had to request our pre-booked crib be delivered 3 separate times before it actually came at 9pm (we checked in at 4pm), we waited an hour for the shuttle from Grand Cascades to actually pick us up after the Crystal Tavern called it for us, and the indoor pool was drained so we could not swim in it. Unfortunately, the service provided definitely did not warrant the price charged.

Response from Crystal S, Guest Relations Manager at Minerals Hotel
Responded 7 Jan 2020
jennd751, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I would like to apologize for any confusion during your booking. Per the email I personally sent you, we reviewed your phone call and the room that was reserved was a regular luxury room, not a luxury corner room. As for the shuttle, we cannot control local traffic. The properties are about 7 minutes apart but the ski mountain is located in between which can cause delays. Thank you again for staying with us. Warm Regards, Nicole Sisco

Nit all rooms have balcony. Regarding an upgrade you’ll have to contact the hotel directly. I did not upgrade bc I chose a room with the balcony
Hello,
Thanks for your question!
No, I'm sorry there are no shuttles available however from both our resorts it is less than a quick 10 min drive.
Hope this helps!
I didn’t use the pools on day of check out. I know if you get there early and are waiting for your room you are able to use the pool. I’d check with the resort
