From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly and so helpful. We dined for breakfast and the food and service were excellent. We loved our gym work out in the Versatile and clean area. We took the NY ferry right outside the hotel to NYC it was perfect. Easy and convenient! The hotel location displays the most spectacular view of Manhattan I have ever seen! Cant wait to return to The Envue again soon! This is my go-to hotel for just about every trip I take to New York. The ferry doesn't run all night which can be an issue for night owls. Fare from the city back to the hotel can get expensive. Despite that, I love that is close, but not in the hustle and bustle. PENNY

I am on the road 320 nights a year and spend about $60,000 a year with Marriott and about $30,000 with Hilton. I have been an Ambassador Elite Bonvoy member for several years and have never come across a staff or property like this- and not in a good way. I did a mobile check-in 48 hour in advance and chose this property for its view of the NYC skyline. I arrived at the hotel this evening and went to my room- which was on the lowest possible floor with a view of a parking garage roof and the dirt/rock hillside that is the NJ Palisade. I was a little disappointed and went on the Marriott App and saw several room types available- all with advertised views of the Hudson and NYC skyline. I approached the man working at the front desk and kindly asked if I could grab one of the rooms I thought I was getting when I first booked my room at the property. I was pointedly told that the app was lying and absolutely no other rooms were available. I was then rudely told that 95% of guests who stay at the property are Ambassador Elite status (I find this extremely hard to believe as it is a random Wednesday in March in North Jersey) and was essentially told in a way that said “how dare you think you are worthy of an upgrade and Ambassador Elite status means nothing here” without directly saying it. Listen, I am the ideal hotel guest and rarely ask for anything. Most Marriott properties are great to me and I often get a nice note or plate of cookies in my room. Not here. The fact that I continued to spend tens of thousands a year during the entire pandemic with Marriott means nothing to this hotel. If you are an Ambassador Elite, let alone a Gold or Platinum member, avoid this place at all costs. This property apparently has full occupancy (consisting of of 95% Ambassador Elite status guests) on a random Wednesday in March, so spend your money elsewhere. At the very least, just know that if you are an elite Marriott customer, expect nothing from this hotel.…

We arrived here very exhausted, We stayed at the hotel because we had no running water in our home for 2 days due to a pipe burst. When Ched at the front desk found out she was so nice and immediately upgraded us to a skyline view room. The rooms are clean, beautifully done up, cozy and amazing. Loved staying here ! If I could leave this hotel NO STARS, I would. I was extremely dissatisfied from the moment I walked in. You walk into the hotel from the street to an empty lobby/holding area on the first floor where you then have to take an elevator to a 6th floor lobby. In this first floor, staff-less holding area, there were literally used plastic cups just sitting on the floor. This was the first indicator that this “4 start hotel” was not what it purported to be. When checking-in, I was told I’d receive a partial City view. Upon arriving to my first room, the City was nowhere in site. When calling to request a change, the front desk said she would switch me to a room with a better “partial City view,” but instead, I was given a room literally on top of a train track and metal shed. Ugliest view I’ve ever seen outside what was supposed to be a high-end, 4 star hotel. When walking down the hall to my room, the housekeeping staff left dozens of filled trash bags just sitting outside in the hallways until they finished cleaning the entire floor. You literally have to walk by smelly garbage bags on the way to and from your room. Then, per the attached photos, inside of my room, I encountered leftover hair from the previous guest on the bathroom counter, a chipped-up, gross-looking fake wood bed frame, and a visibly filthy window sill—all highlighted in the attached photos. I was so disappointed at what I thought was going to be a 4-star stay, that I immediately called my corporate travel agent, cancelled my stay, and re-booked at another Bonvoy property. Then, notwithstanding my horrible experience, the Envue refused to give me a courtesy credit for the cancellation fee. They (the front desk manager, Ryan Dowd) claimed they have to charge me but they “tried to help” by offering me $50 in food credit when I come again. Let me tell you, I’ll NEVER be back!!! Stay at a Renaissance property or any other well-rated Marriott, anywhere but the Envue. It was literally a gross experience. Lack of cleanliness, lack of any sort of decent view, lack of customer service—really lacking all around!!! Do yourself a favor, avoid the Envue at all costs!!…

Envie is a great destination for NY metro meetings. Convenient to highways and Ferry to NYC. Chris Cedeno. Front desk was super friendly and accommodating! The hotel is chic, clean and updated. My room was clean wirh a spacious bathroom and well appointed. I recommend for business or for a night adjacent to the city.
