We were there Aug 2nd to Aug 9th room 309 Employees did a great job during this god forsaken pandemic. Me and my family felt right at home, barely new there were restrictions. My hats off to everyone at the pan American. I got my confirmation in the mail this week, and I was a little disappointed when I saw that for the first time I have to pay more per night for the weekends. Not a big fan of this policy.
Columbus Day weekend, felt very safe re Covid preperations. Room was nicely prepped. We always enjoy the ocean front room. On site Alosi'Bistro restaurant package included breakfast, lunch & dinner, works well especially due to pandemic situation. 1 block to Crest bike rental place. Hotel is next to promenade, a few blocks to boardwalk. A little too chilly for pool. Location is good for short drive to Cape May. EZ parking either underground or side of hotel. Room has all amenities in good shape including DVD. WI-FI had good signal. We did bring our own Keurig coffee machine. Confirmation included details of all Covid prep including the 5 PM check in. This will continue to be our go to place in Wildwood. Be sure to go to Cape May Zoo & Cape May State Park each good for 1/2 day.
Called early in August after our usual hotel in the Crest was booked. Pan American was able to find two rooms for me. I mentioned that my dad had a motorized scooter to get in and out of places. I believe I spoke to Sandy who was so helpful and gave me suggestions of how to charge the scooter when we would be there. I emailed her 2 or 3 times before to ask questions before arriving. Each of my questions were answered and it make packing for the few days so much easier. We stayed on the second floor and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and modern. I saw one review where it stated that the rooms needed to be updated. I thought the family room with a queen, bunk beds, and sofa bed was the "cutest" room ever. The bathroom was very ample with 2 sinks and the kitchen/dining area was very spacious! Our other room had 2 queen beds, a day bed with a bar area that had a mini refrigerator/microwave and sink. This room was also very spacious! I was a bit nervous about going with the pandemic, but the staff at Pan American had everything covered! From checking in to checking out, providing daily clean towels and essentials to keeping all aspects of the inside and outside of the building/grounds healthy and clean! The pool was perfect and at night, a fire pit was lit to add to the ambiance. A poolside snack bar was enjoyed by my teenage nephew who enjoyed milkshakes and fries daily. The food was good and the prices were appropriate. I would have liked to have had lunch or dinner at Alosi's Bistro, the restaurant attached to the hotel, but time didn't allow. The menu looked great and as we passed by, many diners took advantage of the outside dining. Behind the resort is a "closed off" street where families bicycled to and from the boardwalk, which is only a short walk away. One night, we took a walk from the hotel to the boardwalk. It was great to leave the car behind (and we saved money on parking!) The lobby was decorated beautifully with historical information about the Morey family who built the hotel back in 1964.I look forward to staying there again when we can leisurely relax in the air conditioned lobby and adjoining lounge rooms as well as the other great amenities the Pan American Hotel has to offer!…
This hotel is very clean. Good towels, not the cheap, small towels. The employees work very hard here and are pleasant too. They didn't get the overseas help they needed because of the virus. They all pitch in to make your stay pleasurable. Down side... you can hear your neighbors & people in the hallway. Needs better sound proofing.
bathroom not cleaned very well, overpriced rooms. Alarm clock wasn't cleaned since placed there.Seen no fire protection in room & smoke detector battery operated and went off about 2am in morning, also not interconnected.
