Having never experience safari before, we were pretty much guaranteed to be impressed. Being able to feel a lion's breath on your arm as he strolls past your jeep is pretty special. Yes, this is a private reserve so it's small, not like the vastness of Kruger. But it's 72km around, so it's not like a local UK safari park....

As this was a safari lodge one would expect it to be remote and the journey to get there from Port Elizabeth was remote in the fact the last half hour is on unmade roads but not that bad that it made it difficult to drive. In bad weather it may have been different. I personally enjoyed the journey but...

It was worth getting up for the ones at sunrise... that's when we saw the lions. Thanks to our guide Ronald for making it a great trip - he was so enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly and we had lots of laughs. Also to the food and beverage manageress Lee for...

The hotel itself is set in a beautiful surrounding but this is by no way a 5 stars hotel. Staff at front desk and management over friendly in a very fake way. Food was very average but service at the restaurant was lovely. About the game drives- I should start with the fact that this is a private reserve so...

The first thing that I didn't expect was the 40km drive across a road that was at times no better that a dirt track, so when I arrived I was less than relaxed. However on arrival it all changed, a welcoming (soft) drink and a prompt transfer to the hotel complex and I was soon settled in my room ready...

First off - the journey to the lodge is down a dirt road. They tell you not to use GPS to get there, but I was able to pinpoint the exact location (be careful though) - verified it with Kuzuko before relying on it - and used that to get to Kuzuko from PLZ. Coordinates 33°12'49.7"S 25°29'40.9"E work in Google...

We stayed here for two nights at the end of our tour of SA and absolutely loved it, the lodges are well designed with all mod cons including satellite tv. The drives were great fun and our ranger Luke was very knowledgeable and made the drives really interesting. The park isn't one of the biggest but they have a good...
