The rooms and general sitting areas are beautifully decorated, food is wonderful and the entire staff is most helpful and friendly. Elias was our range driver and entertained us with his wealth of knowledge and great sense of humor.

Yes, as others have mentioned, you can. We did this over 2-3 days and saw some game in the Park itself, though not an enormous amount. Often we saw more game on the road from our accommodation to the entrance of River Bend (a dirt road of a few kilometres if I remember correctly, and one which you take to get to and from the Park), so if you do self drive do look out on this stretch. If you do one of the guided tours from River Bend you leave the accommodation in a different direction, but this is not permitted for self-drive.
