We visited Thendele again in October 2017 as we love the location and the hiking. This time we stayed in a 2-person chalet in the lower camp. Weather, views, hiking, water, animals all outstanding. But do not expect good accommodation. It was substandard. What a...More
Thendele camp is amazing. The views are unbelievable. Just unexplained beauty.

The main shop is near the entrance to the park about 5km from Thendele. It stocks most consumables; meat, bread, milk, firewood etc. also a reasonable selection of 'clothing' and tourist memorabilia. Thendele shop is smaller and stocks essential items but not perishable foods. Bring your major meat items with you and store in your refrigerator.
