A vast improvement on the last time we stayed after new management came in! The double rooms are clean and a spacious with our own bathroom. For the prime positioning and great service, this is excellent value for money!

Stayed there 3 years running for an event and am always impressed with the friendly reception from Errol. Nothing is too much trouble for him and he always goes above and beyond. Although basic it's always clean and tidy, and great value for money. Thanks Errol!

I stayed one night in this very quit hostel in franschoek. I was there in the offseason and not much was going on in the hotel. The people are very nice and friendly. The room was very basic and doesn't have much decoration or stuff. This travellers lodge is just good to sleep but not to hang out!

It felt like staying in a sanatorium. No decoration, a bed and a roof and that was about it. I was not confident that the beds were clean so used my own sleeping bag liner and pillow case. Very noisy, glad that I could leave.

We had a great stay at the Lodge last week - it was awesome to come back!! The Lodge is a great place as it is in the heart of Franschhoek and close to all the restaurants. I will surely be back for a third time again soon! :-)

Great location in the centre of Franschhoek. Good honest clean no frills accommodation. James and Errol, the 2 guys that run it are also easy going and helpful. I was on my own and had a double room en-suite. No problem. Would recommend for anybody who needs just a room to get their head down for little money.

Location to visit Franschhoek is very good. The centre is at walking distance. We had a big private bedroom with bathroom which was very nice. It was all cleaned well. I think it's a good price/quality connection for this area. Our towels were clean but didn't all smell nice (maybe to many at the same time washed in washing machine?)....

Clean, comfortable bed. Nice communal areas. Slightly tatty but great value for money. Only downside noisy group of people fro 5.00 a.m one morning only. Central location, quiet street though walking distance to restaurants, shops, Huguenot museum. Would stay again

As South Africans our pockets could not be stretched to cover most of the lovely upmarket accommodation available in this lovely place. We found the Travellers Lodge to be pleasant, clean and well run and can recommend a stay there. Thanks to James for his help in arranging out stay.
