My mother and myself were looking for a comfortable one night stay after doing the hop-on, hop-off trip in Franschoek. My mother is 83 years old so I needed something "mother friendly". Otters Bend ticked all the boxes for me. Clean, comfy, easily accessible, and private. The cabin was more than we bargained for and I will recommend Otters Bend...

We recently spent 3 nights at the charming Otters Bend Lodge. The location is idyllic and a very pleasant 10 minute stroll from town and the wine tram/bus. Mary and Mark were superb hosts. The kitchen area is clean and cosy. The bedrooms are basic but clean and comfortable. All in all fantastic value for money to stay in the heart of...

We had a friend's birthday here; it was just such a perfect setting. We took up the whole lodge which was ideal as we were able to do as we please. It was just so gorgeous the setting and peaceful. The owners go out of their way to help you. Was a fantastic trip. Only criticism is that the bathrooms/...

My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights at Otters bend earlier this month while travelling through Franschhoek on our holiday experience. Mark and his wife Mary made us both feel very welcome, and the accommodation at Otters bend was excellent on our limited budget... Franschhoek can be very expensive to stay in on a limited budget give Otters bend...

After finding info on Safarinow about this establishment, I booked a room for us...on arrival, EVERYTHING was in a state of disrepair. From the insignificant faded sign in the road, to the rickety gate... no reception area, although there is a sign stating Reception...property overgrown and unkept..pear orchard with rotten pears dangling from the trees..a rusted double decker bus on...

From the moment these guests arrived it was clear that they had misunderstood our information on the Safarinow website and, as a backpacker lodge, we would not suit their needs. When shown the en suite room that they had booked, they immediately asked why it did not have a kitchen. They had missed the fact that we are a backpackers...

If you are looking for basic accomdation very near to Franschoek town centre (about a 10 minute walk) then this is a bargain! Room was clean and comfortable, location on a farm on a small river, very scenic and quiet. This is not 5 star accomodation, but very good for the price you pay. I loved the communal area with...

Only one day before our arrival we've booked two nights in the lodge for R550 per night sharing. It is a bit tricky to find the farm from the center of the village. But you only have to go directly to Mont Rochelle (Sir Richard Bransons estate), turn right at the entrance and drive another 200 meters. On your right...

Franscheok is very very touristy and this is the prfect place to get away from the manicured tourism in town. The host is hugely useful and very helpful. The rooms are great and its a lovely place to stay,
