We had a very nice stay in Otter's Bend after our wine tasting. The rooms are cosy with a big terrace to be shared. Kitchen is fully equiped. The pool was in need of an extra cleaning though (leaves and dust).

Rooms are great. Basic, but great. Surrounded by trees and nature and a great owner. The kitchen and dining room (the barrel-room) are very cosey and nice and everything has a vibe that is just amazing. I'll sure be coming back here much often!

We stayed here for one night in one of the lovely cottages. The accommodation is located just 5 minutes outside town, but it feels like you are in the middle nowhere, surrounded by mountains and vineyards. I wish we could have stayed here longer! The cottage is very comfortable with your own bathroom and beautiful views. There is a communal...

Stayed in a large log cabin with basic facilities but that's what we wanted. Great communal area where we chatted one evening to the fantastic owner Mark, who is very interesting to talk too. Chilled place with rustic charm, and a short walk into town. Very close to Richard Branson's Winery, in fact 4 minute walk so we had a...

Lovely garden and little cottages in a row with plenty of shade from big trees. Room isn't very big but the communal area is specious and the kitchen is good. Owner and staff are very friendly. To the village it is an nice short walk.

My boyfriend and I recently enjoyed a quick getaway. Our experience was blissful. There is privacy if you so wish (we loved the log cabins) and a lovely social area. The pear trees, green lawns and rustic style is the perfect escape from reality. With friendly and helpful hosts you'll have everything you need. I highly recommend...

Fantastic value place for exploring Franschhoek. Easy 10 minute walk into town where you can jump on the wine tram! Otter's Bend has a farm stay atmosphere around it and is very low key/quiet making a great place to relax after a day of wine tastings.

Compared to most other accommodations in Fransschoek, Otter's Bend Lodge could be called a budget accommodation. The rooms are small and simple, which is fine and when you choose a cheaper option. However, there is no service (literally, there is only a sign stating "Reception", but no one there to actually be of any service unless you count in the...

Otters Bend is filled with interesting old artifacts and is great for backpackers or for folks who are interested in biodiversity. The first thing that catches the eye is the large antique bus in the driveway. Franschoek is about a 15 min walk / 5 min drive away, there is a small sign out the front however the lodge is...

The place is more a good campsite in my opinion. No bad meaning though! The cottages are nice and clean, restrooms ok. Perhaps felt a bit hesitant when comming here in the beginning as it does not look too welcomming of the road. In the end it was a nice stay thanks to very helpfull and nice hosts!
