We had an amazing stay at Mercia & Wessel's B&B. We were pleasantly surprised as this was one of the last few rooms available in town when we booked, so didn't expect this beautiful spacious room with beautiful finishing touches to still be available. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've slept on in ages, and the...

Lovely private house in quiet location 20 min walk down into Franschhoek. Mercia & Wessel are excellent hosts with plenty of recommendations for local attractions. Clean airy room overlooking the mountains. Good value for money.

Mercia greeted us warmly and we were shown to our beautiful room. We had everything we needed including a fridge to keep our own provisions chilled. Marcia had considered everything we could have needed. The shower was marvellous (although we were mindful of the drought in the Cape). Breakfast was beautiful and we were able to come and go as...

What a pleasant surprise. This BB is spacious and the rooms are huge. Great king-size bed lovely linen. Close to midtown. Personal super friendly service. Full breakfast made to order. The owner Marcia made us feel right at home and gave us great info of where to visit. What a gem

Having arrived in Durban from the UK we then proceeded to look for accommodation in Franshhoek. We stayed with Mercia and Wessels in their beautiful home. The room was large, king size bed, beautiful crisp white bed linen, home made ginger cookies with a beautifully set tea tray. DSTV plus WiFi for our convenience. Breakfast choice very good with a...

This was a real gem to find in Franschhoek. Previous experience has lead me to expect rooms one can't swing a cat in, and standard breakfasts. This was a pleasant surprise. Warm hosting, very generous room space, very clean and an ample breakfast left us feeling looked after and special. It is well within walking distance of down-town Franschhoek, and...

I stayed with Mercia and Wessel for two nights and felt right at home. They are extremely nice and welcoming. I've had the pleasure of "residing" in the large room, which was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and made me feel like a princess. I hope I will be back!

Friendly and helpful hostess. A large airy bright room. Spotless. China tea cups with endless home made cookies. B&B is situated in the suburbs but only a 2 minute drive to town. Very quiet. Stairs are a bit steep for elderly folk but otherwise great. We would stay there again and would recommend it.

Lovely hostess, lovely room, lovely location, great value for money. Need we say more? OK, we will. WiFi in room. Easy walk to restaurants and wine tram. If you're looking for simplicity and quality just go there. The owner makes her own muesli by the way. Ian and Viviane, France.

This is a great B&B with a wonderful host. The room is large, super clean with great views over the mountain and very quiet (we had the one two the left - there are only two rooms overall). It felt like a home right away. Breakfast was very nice and plenty. Free WIFI is available. It's an easy 10min walk...
