We only stayed one night in the historic guesthouse but were treated to friendly hospitality and a wonderful, spacious room with our own private jacuzzi on the deck. The room was also filled with rose petals as we were celebrating our engagement that day. The next morning we enjoyed a delicious full breakfast. Overall a memorable experience.

we stayed at Klein Oliphants Hoek overnight after a very merry lunch at babylonstoren. Lovely gardens, a fantastic snuggery with delicious wines, comfortable outside seating all preceded the delightful attic rooms we spelt in. Each one in different colours and with all amenities possible (including a decanter of port and two glasses). rain on the skylights was an extra overnight...

This guesthouse has such elegant and historic character without being pretentious. Our room was so spacious, fabulous furniture, our private pool was an added bonus for a refreshing quick dip in the morning. Staff were gracious and helpful. The garden is beautiful. Wish we stayed a little longer to enjoy the premises as well as all Franschoek has to offer.

Out of all the hotels we stayed in on our two week trip around South Africa, this was our least favourite. We arrived pretty early in the morning and were greeted by the manager (I cannot remember her name, but she had blonde hair.) She was very friendly, took our suitcases to store for us whilst we went off on...

Really nice place We were 4 adults staying for 2 nights. Great atmosphere. Walking distance to the town center and to the good restaurants. We were a family of 2 adults and 2 grown up children. Breakfast was also really good.

Stayed here 3 years ago, hotel and staff still the same. Very informal, laid back feels like being in a friends house rather than a hotel. Idea location short walk to Main Street . This is a beautiful town and the wine tram is a great way to visit winery s.

Stunning setting for this beautiful boutique hotel with echoes of a colonial era. Great staff who paid attention to detail and always seemed to have a smile on their faces. Excellent cooked-to-order breakfasts as well.

Recently my wife and I stayed at this guesthouse which is conveniently situated in a pleasant residential area close to the main street of the village. We found the staff friendly and our room was pleasant and comfortable. Breakfast was perfectly satisfactory. This guesthouse was full of character with a lovely garden and is, in our view, reasonably priced.

A wonderful peaceful haven in a beautiful town. It has a very special and unique atmosphere. The staff are gracious and hospitable. Our room was large and very comfortable and its own private patio and pool. Taxi service to great local restaurants, although many are within walking distance. We would love to have stayed longer.
