Strictly speaking not a "have been there" review. Have visited Auberge la Dauphine twice previously. Going back December. We know what to expect..............only the best! Accommodatio, service top class. Also, Franschhoek is a lively place with good food and wine, of course. Do give it a try...you`ll not be disappointed.

We came there by chance on good recommendation of the Tourist Information Office of FH (they are great!) and although we planned for 1 night we kept on staying 3 !! It is just out of the center but within walking distance, the setting is absolutely marvellous, the view, the property, the small lake, the mountains - beautiful is an...

We visited with friends during a wine festival in the area. Everyone was very friendly and reccommended places to eat and made bookings on our behalf. The rooms were extremely comfortable and clean and the breakfast was excellent . The property is very well located for visits to the wine estates and to the quaint town of Franschhoek. Will happily...

Matt and Chloe were here in Christmas 2009 and when we wanted to visit the Cape with them (from Australia), Auberge L D was a natural. The setting is delightful at the eastern end of Franschoek valley - check out the sunsets!! but the real treasure is getting to know Anne and Dan (sorry about the disparaging comments about the...

My boyfriend and I spent a wonderful 2 nights at Auberge La Dauphine, just outside Franschoek, over the weekend. One thing that stood out to us was the tranquility of this well-run guest house. We spent two comfortable nights in The Shiraz Room which has beautiful mountain views and views of the well-maintained garden. The full English breakfasts served in...

In the heart of the lush green valley yet surrounded by the dramatic mountains, we spent a a good few hours just sitting by the lake looking around at the incredible setting. This Guest House really does have everything going for it. The rooms are more like mini cottages they are so big, with a mezaanine level for the enormous...

They say that dynamite comes in small packages, but fortunately one cannot compare Auberge La Dauphine with small packages. To begin with the guest house is situated in an absolute breathtaking location. Overlooking the magestic mountains of Franschhoek Valley and surrounded by the beautiful green bushfield. Auberge La Dauphine is the perfect place to settle down and relax. The magnificent sight...

We had an amazing stay here! It was our first family holiday with our little boy who was 13 months at the time! The site and location are beautiful, the accomodation is perfect, modern, clean and practical with a hint of boutique hotel thrown in! The staff were wonderful, so helpful and happy. The donkeys and dogs kept our little...

My husband and I had been to Auberge twice before and I wanted to bring all our family to see this special place. It truly must be seen and experienced. Words cannot describe the beauty, the hospitality and the effort made by everyone to make us feel special. So at Easter 2011, I returned with everyone including the grandchildren, and...
