a delightful location surrounded by beautiful mountains. this guest house fitted the bill for us in all respects . fabulous breakfast, staff couldn't have been more helpful and the accommodation in duplex apartments was excellent .we had a small problem with our car and the management got it resolved quickly and inexpensively .

The Auberge La Dauphine is nested at the foot of the mountains (Mont Rochelle) closing the Franschoek valley, in a small (for the local standards) but nice park. The location is peaceful, approximately 1 km outside of the center of the town. The staff is helpful. Our room (pinotage) was nicely and colourfully decorated, spacious and with a nice view...

Beautiful location and views, spacious garden with nice swimming pool. Very friendly and helpful manager. Rooms have wireless internet and panic button, which is a plus. The breakfast was disappointing: lack of choice, no fresh bread and dogs of the owners were allowed in the breakfast room (and elsewhere on the premises). Owners came by once on the premises but...

The guest house is set in a beautiful location, just a short drive from the city center. Never before played tennis on a court in such an idyllic setting! Stayed in the Acorn Cottage, which is ideal for families with kids, especially toddlers as there is a small fence around the outside area. My godson absolutely loved the donkeys and...

Once again having travelled from Scotland we stayed at Auberge La Dauphine not for the first time, and again all we can say is please stay there if you can. Ronel and her fellow staff members make you feel at home and cannot do enough to help and advise you about the local places to visit and eat.

We stayed at the Toffee Cottage and found it to be splendid. So spacious, huge and very elegant bathrooms and the cottage is perfect for kids. There is a great lawn area outside for kids to run around and the view is fantastic. Great service, wonderful and delicious breakfast and all in all, perfect location to stay in Franschhoek. We...

Sadly we only stayed for 1 night but what an enjoyable experience. From the initial very friendly greeting to the excellent quality of the accommodation (we were in Toffee cottage). Very comfortable beds, large bath and shower (in both bedrooms ), beautiful views and then a first class cooked breakfast. We walked up to their dam for a tranquil drink...

We arrived much later than planned and missed our wine tour but the fabulous Ronel quickly got on the phone and organised us a trip to visit two wine estates and sorted out a dinner reservation and taxi in no time - we were only staying for one night so she really saved the day!! Great room with fabulous views...

We visit la auberge every time we visit Cape Town from the UK. Ronel and the team do stop at anything to make your stay as special as the scenery and location. Thank you Ronel, Ann, dan, and team for making such an effort. We recommend this guest house to all of our friends. 5 stars in our opinion, from...
