Was in room 1- massive! Can only support all the other reviews- fantastic room, delicious breakfasts and very attentive, friendly and accommodating hosts- could not have done more for us! Good location for local restaurants, etc. First class. Book now, you will not be disappointed.

We spent 4 nights here in November and cannot recommend Ashbourne House more highly. Our room was a delight, lovely bathroom and toiletries, very comfy bed and a small private terrace overlooking the mountains and vineyards. Excellent breakfasts on the front terrace with freshly made bread, pastries and preserves. However, It was our hosts Tim and Nadine who made the...

This was our third visit to Ashbourne House although our first since Tim and Nadine took over. There was no need to worry about the new management as they are doing a really super job. Nadine presides at breakfast ensuring everyone has a great start to the day, sitting on the terrace in front of Ashbourne House. Tim was exceptionally...

Tim was great! We arrived early with no notice and he welcomed us warmly and checked us in. He gave us great advice about how to spend our one, quick day in town. We had to leave early in the morning to catch a flight and he made sure we had a breakfast, to go, waiting for us in our...

My wife and I stayed here for two days. The rooms are very comfortable; the pool is a lovely way to spend part of a day; and the location is great. Perhaps more important, the owners go out of their way to help improve your experience in Franschhoek. Their restaurant recommendations, wine-tour bookings, and general advice really added to our...

While visiting Cape Town, we drove to Franschhoek for a 1 night stay and wine tour. The Ashbourne House was a beautiful home with an outstanding breakfast. Our room was modern and clean while maintaining the ambiance of the 1800's house. The staff was most helpful in making dinner recommendations and reservations, and directing us to other activities while we...

We only stayed here for one night but it was a lovely guest house. Tim and Nadine were welcoming and helpful. Room #3 was very large and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of food to start our long day of winery tours. I have feeling that if we stayed here longer than one night, we would have...
