We had the greatest Portugues prepared grilled fresh sardines large and unlike any you have experienced. Also had the yellowfin also fresh from the local waters and also better than could find anywhere in Cape Town after ten days! They have German weissbier--this place knows what is good and has a competent consistent kitchen and an efficient well trained wait...

My room was in the newer block on the second floor. Highly recommended: A very large room with a balcony with enviable views. Very comfortable. My only mild reservation would be that the continental breakfast choice could be a little broader. And when I asked for porridge (the British version) they did not seem to know what was being referred...

Our favourite hotel on the coast. We stayed for a week in November, in a lovely, spacious, sea view room in the 'new wing', a few steps away from the secluded swimming pool - a great spot to relax with a cocktail and watch the sun go down. Breakfast was a delight, a great selection, and your choice of freshly cooked...

We originally booked this hotel for 3 days, but extended our stay for 2 more days as we really enjoyed the great location, relaxed atmosphere and great bedroom. Our room was spacious, modern, clean and from every part of the room, there was a view of Hout Bay! The hotel is situated at the start of the Chapman's Peak route...

Sit outside and view the sea as you eat the best calamari ever! It's a popular place so get there early for lunch. All the food is good, I like the calamari and Portuguese steak in a pan, or calamari and prawns in a pan, calamari and line fish in a pan. Not all the dishes are in a pan!!

We were in the new section with a balcony and sea views. Everything that we could possibly want was there - a king size bed, free wifi, a well equipped and spacious bathroom with a shower as well as a bath and a hair dryer was also available. Best of all because the bathroom was so well designed, the toilet...

This is a great hotel, in a wonderful location. It overlooks the beach where you can have a jog or walk across the sand to Hout Bay. The hotel is very cosy and comfortable, with excellent rooms and breakfast, very good service overall.

My partner and I booked 2 nights at this hotel for a wedding in Hout Bay and the room was great! Nice big bed and bathroom and right opposite the beach made waking up to the waves and the view a nice treat every morning. The restaurant was good and hotel is within walking distance to the beach and other...

Stayed for two nights at the end of a two week trip to South Africa. The sea view rooms in the new block are great. Amazing views from the balcony and a great spot for sunset drinks. The hotel has some real olde worlde charm with all the convenience and comfort in the new block. Only issue was the limited...
