Only thing to improve: the light on the floor at night! It was switched on and because of the milky glass in the...

They did it again! Really worth a journey. Old fashion and charming Room. Excellent service. To have dinner here we can recommend. And making your own blend of the estate's wine is included. We have returned to Excelsior several times.

Very friendly people. Clean and spacy rooms and a swimmingpool. Good dining with nice dining room and tables. A small and cozy place to stay for one ore more nights and enough things to do around. A bit noisy when people use the hall at night but that wasn't really a big problem with only a few guests. Great breakfast!

It was our first time at Excelsior and we enjoyed it very much. It is really value for money. The wine tasting and the bottleling of your own wine was also very special. We have missed a little refrigerator in the room.

Food, amazing. Accommodation, amazing. Staff, especially James, Outstanding! Would highly recommend Excelsior. Great place to wind down and relax and sample great wines. Loved the naming of rooms after the champion race horses.

We spent 2 nights at this pleasant, traditional Cape Dutch style manor house on a wine estate. Beautiful views, a superb pool very friendly staff and a comfortable room all added up to a pleasant stay. Breakfast was excellent although our dinner on the one night was OK but not special. There is a delightful lake nearby where there is...

Delicous breakfast. Central aircon was not effective and quite noisy. We had to ask them to switch off. Rustic accommodation with poor WiFi facilities. If you like cats and dogs around you then this is the place for you. We had requested with James the day before on check in for the golf cart at 08h30 the next morning. Unfortunately...

Excelsior Manor Guesthouse, in the heart of the Robertson Wine Valley, is a Cape Revival manor built during the ostrich feather boom of the early 1900s. Having been recently lovingly restored to its former glory, it offers quiet luxury and personal hospitality. Set in a mature and graceful garden, with shady trees and fragrant roses, the Manor has nine homely bedrooms, with ensuite bathrooms, and exudes old world charm. Generous home cooked country breakfasts and delicious three course dinners are served in the traditional dining room or on the raised deck overlooking the swimming pool with a view over the vineyards to the Langeberg mountains. Excelsior is a working wine farm which has been in the de Wet family for 5 generations since 1859. Guests are invited to explore the 250 hectare farm either on foot or in the golf cart provided. There is a tasting centre, set on the picturesque dam, where guests are invited to try the range of Excelsior Wines and to blend their 'own creation'.
