With 10 distinct rooms, a new restaurant and bar, two pool areas, a wellness room and ample gardens, the Robertson Small provides superlative service to our guests, maintaining the standards that make it Robertson’s only five-star hotel. The Small Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily with all bookings by appointment. Guests at the hotel needn’t book for breakfast. Seating is both inside the Manor House and on the patio beside the hotel gardens. A classic menu with refined seasonal dishes elevates the best in local produce and is accompanied by choice wines from the valley. Built in 1909, the Manor House is now a National Monument. The three Manor House suites sport typically Victorian high, embossed ceilings and large windows onto the veranda. Collaborators include the likes of Studio Ashby, Alexis Barrell, Michael Chandler, The House of Gozdawa, Pichulik, and so much more. Every guest is gifted a bespoke guide of experiences in Robertson, called The Small Guide, it is an intimate and beautifully photographed exploration of the valley.

We stayed at the hotel a few nights and it was the best hotel experience I had in a very long time. International standards. Well done to the staff and owners. Really a place that Robertson and South Africa can be proud of.

We stay over once or twice a year when we travel and this is really the best place to relax before you go to your next destination. Very friendly staff and excellent restaurant with nice choice of local wines. We always feel very spoiled.

This hotel is a gem in a small country village. From we arrive until we left the service of the staff were brilliant, helpful and so professional. Is is very quite and peaceful and so good for mind and body. The room was big enough and everything you need. The breakfast in the mornings was super nice. The best part was our massages, this was breathtaking. Thanks and we will definitely be back!

The Robertson Small Hotel is an utterly enchanting place to stay. It is a carefully restored Victorian house with carefully chosen eclectic pieces to make each room so tasteful and interesting. We sadly only stayed for one night but it definitely requires a longer stay and we will be going back. From Walter who greeted us on our arrival, to Simba in the restaurant and Elizabeth at breakfast, all the staff are outstanding. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the bed very comfy, lots of complimentary goodies in the room all covered in plastic as well as non alcoholic drinks and a Nespresso machine with delicious coffee. Stunning breakfast included. Dinner was exceptional and innovative. I am running out of words to describe this superb hospitality gem in an often forgotten part of our province. Right on the doorstep of some wonderful wine and olive farms as well as other restaurants and interesting sights, this is a really great place from which to launch a trip to this area. We can't wait to go back! All I ask is when the international tourists start coming back to our shores, that the prices of great places like this don't rocket, pushing it out of the average locals means.
