Stayed at this excellent lodge on route to Cape Town. Wonderful warm welcome. Bettie was extremely helpful and went that "extra mile" to ensure I had everything for my stay. The accommodation is outstanding. Beautifully styled and immaculate. Breakfast was delicious. Would love to stay again.

My wife and I recently returned from a 3 week trip to Southern Africa. Part of the journey was the Garden Route (spectacular). Trying to get close to Cape Town by the following day, we did one particularly long drive (Storms River to within proximity to CT). My wife searched Trip Advisor for places on the road ahead. Swellendam Country...

spent 2 nights there. Very clean and comfortable. However the wardrobe is very small to unpack 2 peoples suit cases. It houses a small fridge and on the shelf some red win, candles and a few other things. Breakfast on both days marvelous. They make their own fig jam and preserved figs, really tasty. Close to Marloth nature reserve where...

My daughter and I stumbled upon this lodge totally by accident. What a find! Our stay was superb! Our room was small but VERY well designed and equipped. We arrived late in the evening after a long drive and were greeted at the door by the owner in the middle of a howling wind storm. We had a good dinner...

Bettie is very friendly and welcomed us warmly. Breakfast was a delight. The attention to detail and quick service was amazing....

Lovely pool where you can chill out if you have had a long drive. Two Restaurants, one next door and one across the road. We chose the Italian, which was delightful. Even had...

... will be provided by Bettie, no exemption. I like the contemporary design approach with all those little details, not too much just as one needs it. Breakfast will be a eye opener for those who are 1st timers. Rest assured you want to come back - even when the arrival route is intercontinental. Koornlands as a dining recommendation as...

This is an absolute gem. Betti and Heiko's attention to detail is wonderful. This is our second visit and nothing disappoints. Don't just rush past Swellendam on the N2, take time out to really look at this lovely area. If you want a breakfast to die for, stop here. They even clean your car!!
