This lodge deserved more than the one night we stayed. It was fantastic and perfectly located for walks and the local museums and exploring further afield. Well appointed and open plan lodges to a high standard. Didn't expect a mini bar and glasses and cutlery that was provided. I would best describe the feeling in the lodge was one of...

Great stay with wonderful accommodation. Great for a family. Added extra mattress for toddler and room was still big enough. Nice bath and shower in both rooms. Lovely kitchenette and living area. Very spacious and clean. Will definitely go back. Breakfast was also good

What a lovely place. Beautiful chalets with luxurious bedding set near the base of the Langeberg Mountains on the outer edge of the town. The ideal destination for a quiet intimate weekend. Just a bit to far to walk to town to visit one of the local eateries for dinner but a shuttle can be arranged if you want to...

Been to this calm, quiet place which is situated in the valley of a mountain and it was luxurious retreat. The rooms are clean, neat, spacious with a sit out with mountain view. Breakfast offered was nice and generally the service offered was nice too. We had an amazing party near the pool and they organized nice, delicious dinner with...

All I can say is that one night is not enough! We had a wonderful stay at Gaikou. The rooms are enormous and very comfortable. The staff are a delight and very helpful. Breakfast was fabulous. Sadly we did not have enough time to use the pool but it looked stunning and so inviting. Everything is thought of, from fleece...

Nestled just at the end of town-we found a quiet and luxurious retreat here; high ceiling adds to the generosity the room displayed; tub in the middle of the room for a somehow different setting definitely not to miss!!!

The rooms are large, we had a very comfortable King Size bed with beautiful bathroom amenities and a lovely selection of tea and coffee, including plunger coffee in the kitchen area. Very comfortable for a longer stay, quiet surroundings out of the town with well manicured lawns and a river walk. Would have loved to be able to stay longer.

A lovely stopover between Cape Town and the beginning of the garden route. The room was huge and felt very luxurious and very private - we wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were really helpful and gave us good advice about where to eat and booked us a table. We didn't have breakfast as this seemed very expensive...

We have stays with a family of 7 persons. 2 bedroom house plus a 1 bedroom house. We loved it. Tastefully decorated, well equipped, fine beds, large veranda, breathtaking view. Finally a place in South Africa where they have managed to get wifi operating at decent speed. This seems to be an issue in this country, as we have experienced...

In Swellendam on business and found this beautiful lodge almost by mistake. Spent 2 wonderful nights in the very pretty wedge between majestic mountains. I was booked into a room marked (economy) I suppose because it was adjacent to the reception area because the room certainly anything but 'economy'! A really large, modern and well-appointed room with basic self-catering facilities...
