Very friendly staff but the portions are small and the prices are rather high for what you got. We ate a hamburger on a tiny bun.. The apple crumble dessert contains not coocked apple and was send back.

My husband and I spent two nights at De Companjie as part of our honeymoon. We loved everything about this charming spot - thoughtful and friendly owners, fantastic decor, EPIC breakfast, and location close to shops and galleries. We felt so welcome and at home! Looking forward to our next visit so that we can try their restaurant for dinner...

Very welcoming, amazing friendly staff Big and very clean room. Breakfast was excellent. We also had dinner there , which is very recommendable too. Probably one of the best places to stay in Swellendam.

Ideal stop on the Garden Route. An unusual old fashioned hotel and very interesting and pleasant features. Owner and staff were welcoming and attentive. A number of restaurants with good food, but it is advisable to book up.

The food was great. The amenities was a bit of a disappointment, they were empty. The hairdryer did not have the appropriate plug, and after asking them to change it they did not, they just changed the one plug to another. Luckily i had my own hairdryer.

We loved everything about DeCompanjie but missed a pool as it was very warm. We had a very warm welcome. Supper was not being served on the day of our visit but Thomas cooked us an amazing breakfast. Excellent service.

Rooms are from old farm workers accommodation and hotel is decorated with lots of old artifacts. The breakfast and dinner we had were really first class and the rooms airy and clean. The owner and staff were interesting to talk to and some of the best we have experienced on ou trip. The rear garded with its chicken and cats...
