This is an opulent palace with ocean facing rooms; a wonderful golf course & country club; beautiful gardens, even a cinema. The setting is spectacular. My only issue is that - in such a lovely luxurious place, the service level could & should be much better. I was unimpressed & the hotel appeared understaffed even. The environment is Zen so...

We did not book here but my cousin invited us over for a look around. The place is big and grand. Very very pretty. The pool is also marvelous. Many things to do there. The patio by the shore of the beach is a good place to hang out. Food is also delish at the pool side.

Spent 3 nites/4 days during Christmas ! The weather was humid and hot, 28C in the day time. Evening was pleasant and cool! The hotel occupies a huge area with a well maintained and designed golf course which is next to the seaside. The buffet breakfast was below standard for the hotel fee charged. In SE Asia , most top...

No matter where your travels have taken you, this place will impress you with its sheer scale and design. Very well built, with good and reasonably priced buffet and café food. It also feels very much like a place to yourself at night with no night life – peaceful and quiet. Highly recommended.

Stayed over the Christmas Eve-Boxing Day weekend and was pleased that the service levels did not drop much even though they were busier than normal. Had the Christmas Eve dinner at the Pantai Restaurant which was serving a slightly different menu than the usual fare..turkey and the such, along with a chocolate fondue fountain which I had not seen during...

Worth the visit if you are visiting Brunei and can quietly enjoy the splendour of this palace cum hotel. Nice places to walk around in the evenings and a great reasonably priced evening buffet as well. Great view of the flare stacks from the Champion Oil field offshore add to the experience of where the money came from to build...

This hotel is one of the most spectacular in the world. It is a destination on its own. The splendour of its lobby, to the landscape and 2 huge swimming pools, all illuminated with a gorgeous sunset over the sea. Service is immaculate, with for ever smiling staff. Rooms are huge too. It's our 3rd year annual ritual to spend our christmas holidays in Empire Hotel. This time we choose to stay at Lagoon, instead of the Deluxe room at main building. Architecture was top-notch and cleanliness was superb to every detail corners. As a local and proud of our nation 1st luxury resort, we are blessed to enjoy Empire at convenient....
