Exquisite diving for serious divers, that is well managed and very accommodating. The dive masters are extremely helpful and the dives safe and well planned. The dive boat is spacious, and Nitrox available. Bali still has amazing underwater reefs and marine life, and photographic opportunities were stunning. The resort staff are outstanding, and the food was good with a good selection of local and Western choices. Alcohol is very limited, with only 2 choices of wine and local beer. The resort has been upgraded since we were last there, and is well maintained, and peaceful. The free WiFi was good, but there are no TV’s. There is a communal swimming pool as well. Well worth another visit.
Great 3 star resort diving off the beach or in front of the resort where there is very good muck diving together with easy boat access to the Liberty wreck and other good quality reefs. Good selection of food. Under new ownership who are clearly investing in the resort complex. The area is very quiet compared to the south east tourist area so do not expect a buzzing night life! This area is for the serious diver.
Stayed here as a couple in July - we were lucky that the resort was half-empty, but we had a brilliant time. My fiancée still raves about it. The diving is wonderful, with surprisingly good muck diving just off the shore and a 5 minute boat drive to some of the best diving in Bali including the Liberty wreck. The staff were attentive, the food had a home cooking feel to it - good and incredibly cheap even compared to the rest of Bali, the rooms were pleasant (we stayed in one of the ocean view villas), the whole resort is simple but beautifully kept and very peaceful. It is somewhat in the middle of nowhere, though some of the other guests booked trips through the hotel. Thoroughly recommend for great diving of any ability and a lovely relaxing place to be.
Would give a top notch for their hospitality and attention. The reception would call us to get ready for a check in. Although a little distance from the dive site we are happy with the cleanliness and the simplicity the resort offer. The linen is soft and the room is cool and comfortable. The open shower is great too. The diving center is convenient. The food is decent. What can be improved would be a cart to bring our diving gears to the room instead of us having to carry back and forth. Also the stairs to the room cause both of our young kids to get injured because of the lack of lighting in the area and the inconsistent height of the stair. Otherwise it is an excellent choice for divers to stay in tulamben area.
This was my third times staying in Scuba Seraya Resort. It's truly proved itself to be one of my all-time favorite dive resort. Friendly staffs, fantastic dives, nice accommodation along with cosy, relaxed and laid-back atmosphere. Surely will keep coming back to it. Highly recommended!
