I highly recommended staying at this resort, particularly if you need to get away and switch off, but you 're going have to be prepared to give up some comforts! The bungalows are simple, with a fantastic outdoor bathroom/shower, beautiful double bed with mosquito net and couch / hammock on the front deck. There is no air conditioning (or wi-fi...

The ultimate realization that we inhabit the earth. Where reality feels like a dream, where one feels in full symbiose with nature. The most original concept, feel good hotel experience. We had most fantastic time. Now, we use "freedomland" as a word to describe perfect comfort and cosiness. Fantastic fresh food, amazing service, delicious cocktails, and lovely people. We will...

if you want the ultimate Phu Quoc experience check this resort out, you will not be sorry. Staff are nice, room and services excellent. My traveling tip is to get there early to watch the sunrise on the beach and visit the hotel yard. It's like a jungle in the middle of the beach!

To go straight to the point: poor value for money, no more concept - No service from arrival to departure, even nobody to welcome you - Overpriced versus other hotels (Breakfast even not included) - Poor location (Bach around 1km and the path is full of littering - Cleanliness below standard without talking about the food smell Never again

We stayed in the Coconut Room for 5 nights. Dinner was amazing every night. They give you so much food and we loved talking to new people every night at the communal tables. Its about a 20 minute cab ride to Duong Dong, where you can see the night market. We did the snorkeling boat trip one day where they...

Considering the price I expected a lot more. $70USD a night when I could have just stayed in a hostel for less than $10. The "communal dinner" which is the reason I wanted to go to this place was just us two who arrived that day because the dinner was such a rip off considering how expensive it was compared...

We were so excited to stay at Freedomland! After a month of travelling through Vietnam, this was supposed to be a treat for our final few nights. We were pretty underwhelmed by the resort and do not recommend going back. The check in was very haphazard and nothing was really explained. We didn't find out until later (from a booklet...

I really enjoyed my stay here, yes it is a little expensive but i considered it a treat for myself. I stayed three nights and ate dinner every night. The rooms are really basic but i loved it. I absolutely loved it and slept like a baby. It was a novelty showering outside as well! Yes there are bugs, but...

We heard about Freedomland from good friends who stayed there some years ago, and after reading the reviews we did not hesitate to book the sunset bungalow. We had 5 great days at this unique place in the jungle but left with a feeling that it had much more potential than it revealed, and that we could have left with...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Freedomland offers an home style hospitality, where you can relax amongst friends you have just met, swapping stories over dinner after a day of adventure exploring the island or a day of total relaxation on the nearby beach. As each day goes by, you will appreciate we are not a hotel. LOCATION: Located 15 minutes walk to Ong Lang beach, nestled in a jungle-like area in the North West of Phu Quoc island. 20Km from the airport (about 45 min. Drive); 10km from the main town (15 min. Drive) BUNGALOWS: We designed our bungalows in harmony with the surrounding environment. They are opened enough to allow air flow, furnished with fans (no A/C), wooden furniture locally made and mosquito nets. There is no tv plasma, no hot water (method Kneipp ;), no hairdryers, no minibar and no air conditioned in our bungalows. FOOD & DRINK: Exclusively for lucky freedomland guests, family and friends every night we cook a communal dinner when everyone has the opportunity to meet, enjoy the food and the ambiance. Peter's cuisine is a skilful blend of vietnamese and European cuisine. All the guests fell in love with the Peter's cooking, and he likes sharing his love for food. ... more   less
