Originally planed to stay three nights but extended it to five nights. This place is magical oasis away from the intensity of traveling and the noisiness of Vietnam. The beach is shared with two other small resorts so there is plenty of space and there are no hawkers trying to sell you stuff! Be sure to get a spot at...

Lovely grounds at this resort, fabulous plantation villa with a verander overlooking the sea, lovely outdoor bathroom. Near restaurant serving really geat breakfasts, lovely food and seafood and restaurant/bar open 8am till 10pm and later if you ask, the staff are so lovely. The small beach is a dream, sunbeds, hammocks, beautiful warm water, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking. Also volleyball, boules,...

we stayed here for three nights. I have to hand it to the owners, marketing this place as an Eco resort. It is not, although they do follow some practices. Mainly they charge an exorbitant amount of money to gIve you nothing but the rudimentary basics. More like glamping. We paid triple per night here compared to the highest price...

On driving through Duong Dong on the way to our hotel we were so relieved we had decided not stay there, it is a heaving mass of tourism and building projects, not the sleepy town we'd anticipated. We avoided it from then on, staying for three lazy days at Mango Bay. The Hotel is in an idyllic location on the...

We stayed at Mango Bay Resort after a busy 2 weeks travelling down from Hanoi and before another week in Cambodia. I was just what we needed, a peaceful, laid back atmosphere in a lovely location. We stayed in a plantation bungalow which was great, there were fans and mosquito nets and we loved the outdoor bathroom. The restaurant area...

Dear H0neybea, What a pleasure to come to work in the morning and read such a review. As you mention, the town isn't really the best part of the island. Phu Quoc is mainly to relax. And Mango Bay the best spot for that (In my opinion) :-) Wish you a great trip in Cambodia. Best regards,

Mango Bay is the most amazing resort. Although luxurious, the resort is very Eco-conscious. The bungalows were chic, comfortable and a stunning. The food was second to none.. Being vegan, food was not an issue. Cooking classes also included vegetarian options. The staff were extremely friendly and easy to talk with. It would be extremely hard to fault Mango Bay,...

Dear DPaulPhoto, Thank you for your review and pictures. Also, thanks for mentioning the Vegetarian menu. We do have a large selection on a separate menu with more than 30 dishes. I ll transfer to the chef as he worked hard to please our vegetarian guests. Sincerely,

We stayed at Mango Bay for 5 nights during the beach/relaxation part of our honeymoon. We couldn't have picked a more perfect place for us on Phu Quoc. The resort is absolutely stunning, and designed to accentuate the natural beauty of the island. Our room was a cabana with a great ocean view. We slept under a mosquito net and...

Mango Bay was a treat for me at the end of a long month of work travel. I LOVED it! For 4 days all I did was sleep, eat delicious food, drink cocktails, swim in the beautiful ocean, watch the sun set, lie on sun loungers reading books and get massages. I left feeling relaxed, sunned and happy. the staff...

All in all: Very nice, like paradise! Excellent food (both european/asian crossover and traditional vietnamese), nice and cosy bungalows (bathroom outside, a lot of wood, mosquito nets and repellent candles included, nice view and falling asleep with the wave sounds in the background), beautful nature and very nice staff. Clear pro: No AC (really - who needs this electricity-intense, harmful...

Dear Klaudje, Thank you for a great review. The island is indeed changing very fast. Mango Bay will remain the same as we are protected from all the craziness. A bit sad to see all those big concrete building growing all around. Will help us to remain unique but definitively changing the soul of the island. Hoe to see you...

This is a low density resort, driven by a passion for the environment, intelligent use of materials, and strong support for island culture. Mango Bay is tucked away off the beaten track, with Vietnam's first rammed earth bungalows, enclosed by beach and protected forest. There are no air-cons, television sets or telephones in the rooms for a true fusion with nature at the island's first eco-friendly resort.
