My boyfriend and I spent 5 nights at Mai House in November 2011. The resort proved to be an amazing haven after a hectic previous week in various cities. We stayed in a garden bungalow with fan only (the cheapest option) and were very impressed. The bungalow was spacious and clean, with hot water, safety deposit box, four poster bed...

I stayed at Mai House for 5 nights a long weekend break on Phu Quoc with few days diving. They only take bookings direct - I made my reservation by email and (unlike most other places I tried) were very quick and helpful with replies. The location is fantastic, directly on to the beach with amazing sunsets. It is just...

We had three nights in Mai House, there was lots good about this place and a couple of small complaints. First the good, the rooms are very charming and beautifully decorated, they are clean and well equipped. The gardens are also lovely and it has a good beachfront position. The restaurant serves good food. Our biggest problem with the place...

we stayed at Mai House for 3 nights - end of the quiet season. Pro's = awesome location (esp for sunsets), great rooms, good service, excellent + affordable restaurant on the beach. Cons = Long Beach (and the island in general) is a bit more of a construction site than we'd expected (with almost every resort renovating/ building) - which...

We spent 4 nights at Mai House and had a really good time. Celine (hostess) is very efficient and english-speaking, rooms are private, clean and well spaced out in a large garden area on the beach. The restaurant has of the best dishes we enjoyed on the island. We had a look at a few other resorts and concluded that...

I arrived at Mai House in the evening; the grounds were very mysterious and charming in the dark. The receptionist was the brother of the owner, and he was really friendly, speaking great English. In the morning, the grounds felt a bit more like suburbs. There were signs everywhere, "no public access to beach" or "only for guests" that made...

My girlfriend and I ended our stay in Vietnam with 6 days on Phu Quoc, and managed to get a bungalow at Mai House. The location is great, and the beach well maintained in front of the bungalows. We did not have an ocean view bungalow, but this didn't diminish our enjoyment in any way. The staff were very friendly...

Elegant place with good rooms, lovely garden and right on the beach. Staff very helpful and attentive and their massages. About 25 minute pleasant stroll into town where we ate happily at the night market (no traffic)and wandered around the produce market by day.

Very beautiful place, people very friendly and the food is excellent. Try some of the seafood and other restaurants in town, including the market - some of the seafood/barbeque dishes are wonderful but Mai's food is best in the area.

After spending three days in Ho-Chi-Minh we moved on to the wonderful island of Phu Quoc. Almost a week we stayed at the Mai House. Gerard the owner and his team makes it really difficult to leave... the bungalows are a good three star level. We stayed in a seaview bungalow which is worth the additonal price, even if its...
