A homely hotel located in the historic UNESCO part of Berat. It is spread over two traditional Berati houses and is full of interesting nooks and crannies. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. The restaurant has a roof top location and serves delicious food. The owners and staff are wonderful - friendly, professional and eager to please without... More

In the old city of Berat, the hotel Mangalemi, with its yellowish stones, is absolutely lovely. The rooms are rather rustic and traditionally decorated, with walls and ceiling made of wood. My room under the roof had a balcony giving on a small inner court. The comfort is ok, but not more. It was rather cold but, fortunately, the air... More

Spread over 2 traditional Berati houses this hotel has plenty of character. All the rooms are quirky and different and vary in size. Our twin room was small but with a beautiful wooden ceiling and a very modern bathroom, We even had our own tiny private terrace. Dinner in the restaurant was varied and well priced with very friendly service.... More

A traditional house converted to a wonderful traditional hotel in Berat. The service is great, the style is excellent and the location in the heart of Mangalemi quarter is perfect. I totally recommend it for those who want to have the experience of sleeping in a traditional ottoman style house. You wont regret it!

Great room, great rate, great service. What's not to like! Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast a little disappointing but everything else was top notch! Having a puppy in reception made it even better!

2 traditional houses charmingly converted to a lovely hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, delicious food - breakfast buffet very good indeed including home made jams - very good dinners. Home cooking to an excellent standard. Very nice room, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and showers. Could have happily stayed there for far longer.

What a delight! This charming hotel is located in the old Mangalemi district, in the heart of town, close to everything you want to visit. It is built on the ruins of the Pasha’s palace with a view of them from the restaurant. It resembles an old Ottoman house and has a quaint courtyard. Our room, # 3, was a... More

Close to the town centre, this was a beautiful old building/ hotel. Staff very pleasant & helpful. Our quiet room although small was perfectly formed with good firm beds - not much of a view. Good shower etc. However, this hotel would not be very suitable for anyone with mobility problems We had breakfast, lunch & dinner all very good... More
