This hotel is a small concern that makes you feel welcome and cosy from the minute you arrive. Make sure they have switched on your hot water geyser ! We stayed in November and by then the Bumthang valley gets very cold very fast at night, no problem you have your own wood burning stove in your bedroom, also useful...

The hosts were very helpful. The food was awesome. The view of the Chamkhar town and the river is breathtaking in the morning. Also saw the mountains in the distance capped with snow in December (not sure whether it would be the case during other seasons). Was glad to have free in-room WiFi with surprisingly good speed. The wood-burning heater...

This is a lovely family run guest house, lovely and cosy rooms with traditional stoves in rooms, feels like you are living with family. Have some home made wild strawberry jam with your breakfast! Wonderful!

Nice room, but we had a flood in the bathroom and they were very poor at sorting it out. Once they'd fixed it, they made a feeble attempt at drying the floor and had to be persuaded that using towels would work better than a wet mop! Food service was also not good, with plates being whipped away as soon...

We stayed at this hotel in the summer of 2014. A study group from the US, a group of 20. Management was really nice. We had hot water, wifi (not too fast, but enough to check mails) in lobby area, nice sit out place with idyllic views of the valley and the river. We went for a birding walk and...

This fantastically located hotel is most charming. The owner takes pride in his garden while is daughter works hard both in the kitchen and the restaurant to keep guests happy. The rooms all have a fantastic idyllic view over the river. A few minutes walk gets one into the town. Wifi available only in a few rooms and the dining...

December’2014 – We had a chance to visit Bumthang for two nights where we stayed at the Wangdicholing resort. Driving at a freezing negative four degrees with icy cold wind piercing through our body, we reached the resort in the evening at 4 o’clock and were welcomed into a warm, stone building heated by a traditional metal log stove –...

This place could have been a memorable experience, but because of total callousness and complacency, it turned out to be a miserable involvement. Our rooms were on the elevated level and none of them looked inviting. Dingy, inadequate lighting and tiny unclean washrooms. Every room had a functioning radiator though. The dinner spread was absolutely shocking. They charge 525Nu per...

The family is so hands-on of managing the resort, you will expect the expectation met satisfaction. Lovely room, clean, well kept, traditional in-room heater is a real nostalgic. Very helpful in every details if you ask for help.
