We stayed here for 2 nights. The room we had was spacious enough but dated. It was also quite dark and could get cold at night. We were awoken by the cold in the middle of the first night. We asked for an extra blanket the next day and had no problem sleeping. The water pressure of the shower was strong and there was plenty hot water. The toilet clogged easily though. The Wi-Fi worked well. There was a great view to the Trongsa Dzong out on the balcony.
Despite the dated room, the hospitality made up for it. The staff was all helpful, cheerful, attentive and made our stay more enjoyable. The food was quite good overall.

Room had a beautiful and spacious shower/bathtub area, but was extremely cold and hot water required a request for assistance from hotel staff who claimed that the hot water heater needed to be turned on or something to that effect. Cold showers in a cold room was not pleasant. WiFi worked well, and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was a nice sitting room and the view of the valley from the front balcony was spectacular! Breakfast was a highlight, quite possibly the best of all the hotels I stayed at during the 9 day tour of Bhutan.

This hotel undoubtedly offers the best meals we have eaten since the beginning of our tour of Bhutan ten days ago. Our room was very comfortable and the balcony had a great view of the dzong. On the other hand, it was cold in the bathroom where the lighting is really not optimal. In addition, the Wifi connection was of poor quality.

Yangkhil Resort is a great choice near the historic town of Trongsa. The grounds are landscaped with gardens, fish ponds and view of distant mountains. Our rooms and balconies looked directly at Trongsa Dzong, Taa Dzong. and the Mandge River. The town museum is well worth a visit, and it includes a well-made video in English. Meals were good and the staff was eager to please.

We loved ours stay, again being maybe the only guests in the hotel.
The hotel faces the Dzong, offering some great photo opportunities.
The rooms (more like villas) are very good (unnecessarily large bathrooms), with a nice private balcony.
Food wise probably one of the best in our 2-week visit of Bhutan.

We only ate at the restaurant for a midday meal. We were all alone in a huge room with very helpful service staff.
The view from the dining room is magnificent. The meal consists of a classic buffet for the country.
The food was good except for the beef dish which was hard as a rock. We left everything, because the meat was really inedible. It’s a shame because we had made a reservation over the phone to have a meat dish which we were looking forward to.

Stayed here for a night while visiting Trongsa. The staffs are friendly and welcoming. The room (203) is big for the two of us and had a direct view of the Trongsa Dzong. Comfy bed and clean room. Food here is also quite good. The only negative is the wifi is almost non existence in the room. We can only surf the net at the reception and dining hall. Even that, the signal drops quite frequently.

Such a nice resort over looking the fortress. Check-in was effortless, with a warm towel to refresh a weary traveler, and a delightful welcome drink. My luggage was delivered to my room ahead of me, as they showed me the dining area. Lovely property with lots of beautiful flowers, clean surroundings, and an excellent view of the mountains.
Room was spacious, with a medium size heater and huge bathroom. The veranda was nice, except it was cold to sit outside and enjoy the view.
Dinner and breakfast were equally good. I give compliments to the very attentive staff.
I had a nice stay, as I had a good night sleep, and the birds outside were my alarm clock.

Freezing cold rooms. No heat in bathroom. Very odd building style. Seemed to be without an architect or master plan. Lots of stairs and open air with construction materials in view. Poor construction. Very good food and friendly people.

We stayed two nights at the resort. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel special by the smiling and gracious staff. we enjoyed every moment of the stay. The resort is located right at the entry to the town. The ambience is great. The gardens are beautifully kept. i was especially taken in by the little lilly pond and the gushing artificial waterfall. everywhere, there are vibrant flowers and trees. In fact, just sitting on the balcony is a delight in itself. Every room has an unobstructed view of Trongsa Dzong and the tower. Best thing is that there are no televisions in the rooms and frankly, we did not miss it. Each and every staff was gracious, polite and friendly. The rooms are cozy with a balcony and a winding staircase. Over all it was a wonderful serene and memorable experience to stay at Yenkhil. Recommend it wholeheartedly to everyone.
