We stayed here for 6 days and loved it. The rooms are large and comfortable with a little fridge. A little breakfast was also available 24 hrs and a little microwave to heat up leftovers from the many restaurants around town. Our hostess/owner Terri and grandson Bobby were very pleasant and helpful. Sitting around outside in the clear crisp Chama...

I felt like this was more of a B&B than a hotel. We stayed in room 3, which is upstairs. The room was huge with a frig and microwave. Comfortable king size bed. Bath/shower was the only strange thing: the bathtub was sunken; just take your time getting in and out. Breakfast was help yourself to bagels, english muffins, fruit,...

We rented a suite for two nights, #6. Had a second floor where our three grandsons slept. This was our first visit to this lodge. We found it very clean, and friendly. Better then most major hotels we have stayed in. Continental breakfast was really good and that room and food is always available.Grandsons went in for a snak in...

Crossed my fingers that the Cumbres Suites (Terrie and Kip) was still open in Chama as was my first experience 5/6 years before (late fall). Long story short: we spent 4 days with the hosts instead of one. Second floor - great room, quiet; reminded me of my parent's old home, growing up outside of Seattle. Advice/help from Terrie and...

A great pick in Chama--owners very friendly & accommodating. Room was clean & spacious . There were plenty of choices at breakfast & we enjoyed sitting on the porch with coffee. We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed in room six. It was perfect. At check in had a great conversation with the owner. Good guy. Kat ' of help and suggestions for things to do. Even had phone numbers for guided fishing and hunting guides that weren't advertised. Room was great and close to everything. We'll be there next time we're in town.

A well kept place, good value, great people who own it. Family owned. Fun place to stay if you just stay and enjoy the small railroad based town or use it as a base camp and see the sights throughout New Mexico and Colorado. A must place to stay in north central New Mexico. Just a short drive from Santa...

Located on Hwy 17, this motel offers ten rooms of substantial size and remarkable quietness. Hosts Kip and Terrie ensure that you are comfortable and satisfied. I stayed there a week, recently, being a member of a volunteer charity work party in the Chama area. The motel offers a complimentary continental breakfast. Besides the donuts and pastries, frozen Jimmy Dean...

We stayed at Cumbres Suites while traveling with another couple for the Cumbres & Toltec train. Terrie & Kip were very accommodating and discounted our rooms because we were staying 2 nights. They always keep their "breakfast room" open and available for people to come in and make themselves at home -- in our case, it was to set up...

Fact: Cumbres Suites is the least expensive motel in Chama (as of 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014). Pros: 1. You can walk to the High Country Inn/Restaurant (and other places) for all your meals and NEVER drive to a restaurant. (High Country is the social and information center of gravity of Chama) 2. Lowest Cost 3. Very clean rooms: Medium-High end...
