It was a nice stay. It is on a hill side so not very level. Has a swing set for the kids. Bathroom and laundry facilities. We saw some deer and elk. Went for a hike up behind the park. It was fun but really a steep climb. Pets are allowed in the RV spots. I don't know about the... More

Enjoyed staying here. Very quiet and reasonable prices. Owner cody makes you feel at home. Place was clean with all necessary amenities. Far enough away from the town but close enough if you need anything

Just returned from our second stay this year at Lazy Day Cabins and loved it even more this time around. My husbad, our teenage son and myself stayed in Cabin 1 and were charmed by the rustic feel of the cabin, yet it had all ammenities we could want or need. Even in early October, it was cool enough for... More

This very small cabin was so outdated it was not cleaned correctly and the bed had all sorts of stains on it, plus creepy crawlers hanging out also. The towels did not smell clean and had a muggy smell to them. I could hear everything the next door neighbor was talking about. Overall this place was a dump. I will... More

This cabin was everything we hoped for. Very Clean, comfortable, quiet. We loved it, wonderful mountain cabin experience. Just off the highway. Which makes it easy to find but you do have some road noise while your outside but not inside. There was plenty of firewood. It was just a fantastic experience for my husband, 4 yr old and I.

Wow, it was late and we had no place to stay. We called and left message and Cody called right back. We stayed in motel room number 9. King size bed, large bathroom AND extra pillows! It was clean and warm. Cody was helpful with directions and even texted to make sure we knew where to go. I would recommend... More

We met up with family who stayed in their RV at Lazy Day. We stayed in Cabin 2. The cabin was very basic but clean. I had read other reviews and seen pictures so my expectations weren't very high so I think that helped. There were things that I think should be fixed or changed but overall the experience was... We desired to get out of the heat in Las Cruces and booked this cabin for one adult, one teen and two dogs. The first cabin we moved into was sweltering and the fans didn't help much. So, we requested and moved into a smaller cabin up the hill with more shade. It was in terrible shape with torn screens,... More

Keep in mind these are cabins, and you won't find airconditioning up here on the mountain. In fact my house doesn't have AC. June is the hotest up here on the mountain, but generally 20 degrees cooler than the flat lands. As far as the cabin condition goes, I do appologize if you had a bad experiance. But, the bathroom... We stayed here for Father's Day weekend and wanted a place near some trails to dirtbike. The owner , Cody was helpful and pleasant towards our inquiries. We arrived late Thursday night and had no trouble finding the cabins with the help of the bright blinking cabin lights. The cabin has everything you'll need for a comfy stay. The kitchen... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our cabins and motel rooms are clean and smoke free. We offer 6 pet-friendly cabins, 3 motel rooms, 10 full size RV spaces with full hook-ups, and a large covered pavilion, complete with an enclosed and fully equipped kitchen and gas grill, which can be rented for large gatherings. We welcome family reunions and church retreats. There's nothing like spending quality time together in summertime weather in the 70s. But every season has something special to offer. All-season activities include hiking and four-wheeling nearby trails, nature watching, touring our rustic villages, and various events and festivals hosted by nearby towns. Of course there's opportunities for tubing and skiing during our snowy winters. It's always a good time to visit the mountains! Our Hideaway is backed up to the peaceful and beautiful Lincoln National Forest and overlooks the scenic Lane Ranch in James Canyon. Wildlife is a common sight in our park and in the meadow below, including deer, elk, turkey, and of course, hummingbirds! Experience the tranquility that only nature can provide and share some "quality time" with the ones you love. For a weekend, a week, or longer, our rustic Cabins, convenient Motel Rooms, and generously spaced RV Sights are just what you need to get away from it all. Come and see what you've been missing. Get away to Lazy Day! ... more   less

“Cabins 1 and 2 are individual, the others duplexes, all face the valley below.”

“Cabin 1 & 2 are identical and next to each other, there are some duplex cabins also which we did not look at. September was good time to be there with few people, however, it did rain most everyday but easy to escape as it was scattered. We went to White Sands twice and spent time in Ruidoso and Cloudcroft.”
