I told my boyfriend that all I cared about was going somewhere green with water nearby. This fit the bill. Management was very friendly. Cabins are quite old but it had the funky charm we like. Full kitchen and everything we needed. River was beautiful--even saw some pretty huge deer as we were wandering the property.

Tall Pines is an aging property that offers solitude, peace, quiet, stocked fishing lake, nice cabins, deer, bear(on rare occasions), the river and fee fishing. Its a nice place for kids to fish and everyone will be able to catch something since they stock it normally once per week. Each cabin has a kitchen with most everything you need for...

We love Tall Pine Resort. We had 7 people and stayed in the Lakeside cabin. One bathroom did pose a bit of a problem, but we worked it out quite easily. We had plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was stocked with just about everything we needed. There is no daily maid service, but we were fine with that....

My family has been staying at Tall Pines resort for over 50 years. Let me say this first: if you want to be in a picturesque natural setting, this place is for you. It is on the edge of town tucked deep with beautiful fir, spruce, and aspen trees with the Red River flowing through the entire resort. The huge...

The location of the property was nice... nestled in a wooded area a couple miles south of Red River proper, it was more isolated than most accommodations in the area. Providing more of an "away from it all" experience while still being close enough to take in all that Red River has to offer. The pond was also nice and...

“All of the cabins have fantastic views. If you want to fish, get one closer to the lake.”

“The cabins towards the back (Golden Treasure, the Hideaway, Gold Calf etc..) will attract more wildlife. You will see more bears! If you're afraid of that choose a cabin towards the middle or front. Also, make sure your trash is cleaned up, taken out and disposed of properly! That will also help with bears. :) If you get hot easily, bring a tiny fan to keep in the cabin for the middle of the day.”
