I've had three two-night stays here and it suits me and my wife perfectly, but as the owner himself clarifies, "It's not for everyone." A rustic old lodge above a bustling restaurant and bar with nightly live acoustic music, and a weekend dance hall next door, the prices are lower than the rest of town and there are often unoccupied...

You cannot beat the price for this lodge in January. I have booked a room at 2-nights-for-the-price-of-one for two years in a row. The accommodations are very rustic and minimal, but the price is right. Because of the price, we are able to stay here to ski for weeks at a time. Our room was large and spacious, with two...

We hit the trifecta by staying at the Lodge in Red River!! First of all, the location can't be beat. It's located in the middle of town where all of the action is and within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The bar was charming and had excellent local music on Friday and Saturday evenings. Music stopped at 9pm...

I have stayed at the Lodge for many years. Each year, my friends and I have noted the upgrades and remodeling since our previous years visits. It is quaint and cozy. It feels like coming home each summer. The guest rooms have always been clean and secure. Priscilla and her dutiful staff have consistently provided nice service, hospitality, and value....

My husband and I have stayed at the Lodge at Red River several times over the years, and have always fully enjoyed our stay. The rooms are clean and quaint and the beds are super comfortable. The bathrooms also look like they have been remodeled recently, which I loved. Our favorite part about visiting the Lodge and Red River is...

We pulled into town on a rainy Sunday morning. We had never been to Red River, New Mexico in the summer- beautiful. We stayed at the Lodge at Red River, a very charming hotel. Our room had a balcony view of the mountains, and if you sat on the balcony you could see Main street with people walking their dogs...

Check in is at 4 o'clock. Our room was not ready. We were assigned another room completely opposite of what we requested. For $95 plus tax per night I expect better. The front desk screwed up. And we are paying for it. We brought our dog but the room we were assigned stinks so bad. Literally smells so bad. The...

My wife I recently stayed here. Our room was nice, clean and comfortable. We were in a corner room on the front of the hotel. The view were awesome. The hotel is filled with rustic charm. A great common area upstairs. Everything worth doing in Red River is just a short walk away. The best restaurant, watering hole, and dance...

So we got one night on our way to Colorado and check in was easy and we were greeted by several friendly employees. We did not eat at Texas Reds below the hotel but have heard good things. The only complaint about the place is that the rooms are really small. Just a bed, a hard chair, 3 small desks,...
