I am surprised at this hotel. When I arrived, I was greeted by a polite desk attendant. She told me that my reservation with hotels.com was made for the next day, but it was no problem at all and she would take care of it. How wrong was she! And how wrong was I to listen to her? The next day after I checked out she called to ask me to resolve the dispute between the hotel and hotels.com, because apparently it was not enough for her to make the change and she was wrong. So I spend about 2 hours on the phone with hotels.com. Of course they are not picking up, hanging up the phone, I’m In the wrong department, etc. I call the hotel back and tel her that I don’t ha e time for this as I am traveling. Lisa at the hotel says “no problem,” I will take care of it. How did she take care of it? Y waking me up with another phone call the next day at 3.30 am. Yes, 3.30 am she called me to continue duking it out with hotels.com. When I asked her why she is calling at 3.30 am, she said she thought “I was still in the house.” Don’t stay at this highly disorganized hotel where employees make bad choices…
After driving 9 hours arriving to our hotel that I made reservations for a week prior. Being a member of the Marriott travel Bonvoir. I would never had imagined being denied a room. As my husband approached the front entrance there were about 20 people having cocktails at thier lounge located in the front. My husband pulled around to one of the side entrances instead to avoid awkwardness of watching everyone drink and looking out to the front parking lot straight into our car..I started noticing people entering with bagage not wearing face masks. I then took notice and didnt see one person wearing a mask?. It was odd since we just traveled from Ohio and all our stops everyone was wearing masks. My husband came back and was told we were not permitted to stay in the hotel because we live out of state and we must quarenteen for 14 days..The front desk person stated that was coming straight from corporate office. I attached the states orders that took into effect july 1st. The front desk clerk should be fired for giving out false information. Or thank you Marriott corporate for revising your own new mexico state orders. I will be writing a letter to corporate about my family being stranded late at night without a hotel room in Roswell New Mexico. Thank you Holiday Inn for graciously accommodating my family so late at night. The Holiday Inn was very clean and also everyone wore masks. You are taking your chance staying at the Marriott's in Roswell. They make up their own New Mexico state orders depending on who and where you are from.…
Convenient short drive to downtown strip. Rooms were small but comfortable. We had a room with kitchen that had refrigerator, 2 stovetop burners, microwave and dishes. Pool and gym were closed due to COVID19. There was a coin operated laundry on the first floor. In lieu of breakfast buffet you were given a menu that you could chose continental breakfast items from and they delivered to your room. At the front desk there was no hand sanitizer, but there was a package of some type of wipes, but you had to open the package to get them. The clerk at check in did not have a mask, nor was there any kind of protective screen between guests and employees at check in. The woman who brought our breakfast in the morning did wear a mask.
Great location just off the main street. Suites are spacious and functional. Laundry is useful for longer stays or people trying to reset their wardrobe in this stop. Staff friendly, breakfast decent. Pool is outside only (quite cold outside summer months). Good beds, good bathroom
This is a nicely appointed hotel. The hotel offers a typical continental breakfast with a variety of options for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. The hotel room was nicely appointed with kitchen, fully-stocked with supplies, television, and spacious closets. Bed was comfortable. The hotel offers a guest laundry (coin laundry) which is nice if you need to wash clothes. The location is also good, near the main street where Roswell's attractions are and also directly across the street from the medical center.
