We are quite torn about our stay at Tydon Lodge. On the one hand, offering access to Sabi Sand and Kruger Park, it provided us with some of the greatest game drives we had in South Africa. The dedication and knowledge that the rangers, especially Drikus, showed, were amazing. The tents were really comfy and, the place overall very relaxing....

This experience was a dream come true! Although I've been fortunate to travel quite a bit, this safari is one of the best adventures I have ever done. The food was plentiful, extremely plentiful!, and delicious (I especially liked the pap [maize] and chakalaka [spicy tomato sauce]). I've done much tent camping and backpacking in my life but have never...

My husband and I had an amazing first safari with Tydon, we stayed for 3 nights. Let's start with the beginning - pick up at Johannesburg airport was super smooth and the drive to the camp was easy, equipped with bathroom breaks and an amazing lunch spot (farm to table style food). Pick up and drop off to and from...

My cousin and I did the 4 day tydon safari camp and it did not disappoint! From the guides (Stephen was exceptional as we're Leisel and Benji), whose knowledge was vast, to the accommodations and food, the entire trip was not one we will soon forget. The service was on point and the guides spent the evenings with us to...

A group of 5 of us stayed at Tydon Safari over the course of ~3 days (5 game drives) and our experience truly surpassed expectations. After a ~5 hour car ride (with 2 stops) across a beautiful landscape, we arrived at camp and went on our first drive within about an hour. It was great to get fresh air after...

We did a 5 day Safari and stayed at the Tydon Safari Lodge. This is situated within the sabi sand area but just outside the sabi sands reserve gates. We did a combination of game drives in Sabi Sands & Kruger each day (2x per day). The overall experience was incredible. The game drivers are highly informative & knowledgeable. What...

Our family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) stayed in this camp during their winter break from school. The experience was so much fun! They took us on morning and evening safaris, sometimes in their own reserve and sometimes in Kruger. Access to both was a real plus! The food was great - our best meals during our 3 week trip!...

Just back from a two week trip to SA - we did a four day safari experience at Tydon and loved every minute of it - even the rain we experienced did not dampen our enjoyment. All the guides we had were excellent (Lisil, Benji, Stephen and Greg) - very knowledgeable and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely to...

Intimate and comfortable, yet simplistic combined with excellent service, the Camp creates a traditional African Safari feel to your journey, and you can be forgiven for thinking you were transported back in time to an unspoilt and unexplored Africa.
