Our stay at Notten's was easily the highlight of our trip to South Africa. We saw the big five every day, and even got to watch baby lions playing twice in three days, from a few meters away. Shout out to Thulani and Gideon, our fantastic guide and tracker. The lodge itself is lovely - the rooms are well appointed... More

This unique camp was an experience we will always treasure. The staff, the rooms and the amazing food was beyond anything we have experienced in a bush camp before. Our guide was amazing and we saw the big 5 plus a once in a lifetime oportunity to see wild dogs which are endangered. If you are not over the moon... More

I've dreaded writing this review because it would mean that our trip to South Africa was over. Our family of 6, with our 3 kids ages 10-13 & my mother aged 75, stayed at Notten's for the last 2 nights of our Kruger area vacation. What a perfect ending!! We had 2 rooms - one of which was a family... More

Five stars all around. We preferred a winter (July) safari as the vegetation is sparser (better viewing) and the highest temperatures are generally in the low 20s, perfect for those of us who are heat intolerant. It can be chilly in the mornings but Notten's provides the perfect antidote of blankets and hot water bottles. The pleasant day time temperatures... More

We have just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at Nottens bush camp. We were lucky enough to see 3 different leopard sightings where one was eating the remains of an Impala he had carried high up a leadwood tree with some hyenas waiting patiently at the bottom for any scraps he dropped. Another leopard had just killed a... More

April this year we did our first bush safari in South Africa with our two teenage girls and had the pleasure to stay in Notten's Bush Camp. We enjoyed the camp itself with spacy, nicely furbished cottages and a great pool area. Also, the food was simply great and nicely prepared, including one supern bbq one evening. And most importantly... More

Our family group of 5, ranging in age from 10 to 72, spent the last 3 nights of our S. African tour at Notten's. Our experience can be summarized by" amazing". The private cottages provided comfort, privacy and views of wild life. The use of only candles and kerosene lamps gave an air of authenticity and elegance. The food was... More

I love the rhythm of life on safari and no one does it better than the folks at Nottens. The personal early wake up knock on your door announces the beginning of a great adventure. ALL of the staff is gracious, thoughtful, and efficient. After a cup of coffee it's off to search for game and we were never disappointed.... More
