We stayed here for 3 nights and went on 5 game drives, we were lucky enough to see the big 5, and much much more. Promise our ranger was knowledgeable and clearly cared out the animals. The lodge it's self, was beautiful, the rooms spacious and the food and wine excellent. Drinks which aren't included in your stay weren't expensive....

When arriving at Idube we were welcomed by the friendly staff at the reception and we immediately were enveloped into the warm and family-like atmosphere that somehow became characteristic for our one-day (only, unfortunately) stay. The lodge does not have family rooms but had arranged two connected rooms so our family of four (two adults and two children aged 9...

Idube Reserve is rustic as can be expected from a lodge located in a game reserve. The room was spacious and confortable. The bathroom not quite as nice. The food was very good, lots of local meats and specialities. The best part, and the reason for going to Kruger is to see the animals in their natural setting. Matt, who...

Game Drives: Top quality from Promise. Idube really excels with regards to the quality and overall game drive experience. Personally I would have to put them in my Top 3 of all the lodges I have stayed at in the Sabi Sands. Accommodation: Probably the most budget of all the accommodation I have stayed in. Air conditioned, clean and well...

It's about the animals: you'll see more at a private reserve, mostly because the animals aren't wary of the vehicles, while in Kruger the animals are more wary of private cars. And, the vehicles can go pretty much anywhere off-road. Supposedly the safari experience is more or less the same at all the lodges; so the differences are the rooms,...

We stayed in one of the Makubela Suites. Highly recommend this room for it's privacy and proximity to wildlife. The plunge pool on the balcony is great as well. The game drives were fantastic! We saw the Big 5 and so much more very close to the vehicle. There is no phone, tv, or Internet in your room. This is...

Just a real special place. Don't do Kruger if you have short time and want to see a lot and experience true safari. Ranger takes you off the roads right next to animals. Mike and sherif were outstanding we saw so much. They were so enthusiastic Rooms were so nice. Air conditioned. Immaculate. Pool was peaceful Meals were ok. Braai...

Our friend and us, three families with 20 years sons stayed 4 days at Idube Lodge. The lodge is confortable and the staff very friendly, specially the Rangers Promise and Rob. As I said, stay at a private safari game allow you to have a very intense contact with the wild animals because you can follow them, seen them hunt...

We stayed here in January 2016 and now again in February 2017. The lodge is in the western sector of Sabi Sand and traverses the same area as the more expensive lodges but at a much better price tag. There are 2 Makubela suites. The difference between the suite and the chalet is the size and private plunge pool, but...

Matt - the camp manager - was 5*. He personally handled our game drives. His enthusiasm & knowledge were infectious. Thanks Matt as the game drives were the highlight Apart from this . The food, pool, room, other staff were OK but not in same league as the game drives.
