My wife and I certainly enjoyed the late spring snowfall that we received after we arrived on Friday evening. The weather storm made for cooler temperatures than normal but all was short-lived. The snowfall covered the pine trees and added a very special snow top...More
I chose this Ruidoso resort from those available for exchange with RCI. In my opinion this is the best. All the properties are old with outdated furniture and decor but the location of this property high in the mountains affords amazing views that can't be...More
For the most part it was great. Deer plentiful and friendly. Scenery outstanding. Restaurants accessible especially Chef Lupe's and the Italian place on Sudderth.
Our view from our condo was outstanding. Only problem for me was the winding mountain road to the place was simply...More
We stayed at this resort for 2 weeks. The location is very beautiful. The balcony has a wonderful view if Sierra Blanco mountains and a Lake. The condo itself is very large however it is in need of updating. The kitchen is not well stocked...More
The area is absolutely beautiful, we saw mule deer, turkey and elk daily. The condos sit on top of a mountain so the views are wonderful. When you come down it's a lot of winding road but that is where you see the wildlife. The...More

Anyone stayed in unit #202? Wondering if it has been updated etc. Concerned about the comments that the units are dirty. I do not mind that they are dated.

I don't remember what unit we were in. It was in one of the buildings that was toward the end(away from the office) I heard that the ones that were closer to the office were in better condition. The one that we stayed in had black mold growing in the shower as well as ground in dirt in many areas. It was disgusting! Appliances were dirty with crusty food and kitchen window was smeared with something. Curtains were ripped down, and the main bedroom the blinds were dangling from the ceiling. A lot of the things in the unit were broken beyond repair.
Hopefully, you will get lucky and get one of the units that they have fixed up.
We took our own pillows and towels which did help.
I had to wash all the bedding before sleeping in the beds since they were dirty and they smelled.
The views are beautiful, and you will probably like the balcony area if you are there in good weather.

"Upstairs units (no elevators) have spectacular views. All views face to the west with ample deck space."
