We arrived here with Viva Safaris. It was just lovely at first sight – an exotic little compound with ponds and tiny waterfalls, a central pool, loads of lush foliage, and the rooms as organic hut-style cabins placed in a circle throughout the garden, joined by paths and small bridges. It had a retreat-esque feel to it. Our room was...

Hi Kerry Thank you for taking the time to write a review ! We are glad that you enjoyed the first night of your safari at Tremisana Game Lodge. Good to read that you enjoyed the facilities at the camp and that the Boma, Bar and Lapa were great. It is always exciting to see animals at our waterhole in...

We did a 4-day Safari with Viva Safaris and stayed one night in this lodge. The garden with the little pool area is very beautiful. Our hut was furnished with one king size bed and two standard beds all equipped with Mosquito nets, a little wardrobe, an arm chair and an electric cattle. The bathroom had a nice big shower...

Intimate guest lodge surrounded by nature. Staff were incredibly helpful. Beautifully designed rooms to match the surrounds. Our night drive game ranger was had a vast knowledge of the bush and all its creatures. Candlelit dinner amongst the stars was the perfect way to spend our last night in this slice of heaven.

Hi Taryn Thanks for a short but really powerful review. I am so pleased to read expressions such as "incredibly helpful staff", "intimate lodge", "beautifully designed rooms", "candlelit dinners among the stars " and " slice of heaven" . These suffice to convince all future tourists that they will not go wrong in booking a safari with VIVA SAFARIS. Thank...

We stayed at TREMISANA GAME LODGE for a 5 day safari and fell in LOVE with the place! VIVA SAFARIS and TREMISANA give you EXCELLENT value for money, with a clean, comfortable and unique room - which, to our delight also had air conditioning! (something which we dread living without in the african landscape!) The bathroom was clean, neat and...

This lodge is a perfect combination of comfort and a taste of the wild. The garden is well maintained and all sorts of birds and animals run around in the bush. My room was nice and clean and the staff there are very helpful. The only shortfall is that it's a little far from the park. -- Well it's right...

Feb 2015. Party of 4 (two mature couples). Frequent visitors to South Africa, first time to Kruger. Took the 4 day safari. Because there were two couples, we booked the Guest House, which was icing on the cake. Selected this lodge because it is away from a lot of the managed game farms in the south of kruger. Long transfer...

I had a wonderful 4 day/3night safari at Tremisana Game Lodge. The staff could not have been more helpful, and the guides were exceptional. In total, I did five expeditions out from the Lodge during my stay and they were all great experiences, allowing me to see and photograph almost all of the Big 5 and many other animals as...

I have meant to review Tremisana and Mark's Treehouse Lodge since my experience there in September of 2013. The lodging staff, owner, manager (Bongani), safari drivers and trackers did a great job. I was greeted by Bongani and given a private ride to Balule reserve when I transferred from my other Safari experience based out of Skukuza Rest Camp. Bongani...

I have been there with 12 friends of mine in April 2014. They only accepted cash or a bank transfer through a South African bank and asked to pay half the amount for reservation. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tremisana Game Lodge was a founder member of the Balule Game Reserve. Tremisana is the largest and leading lodge in this section, having a total of 12 chalets plus a two-bedroomed guesthouse. We can sleep a maximum of 35 guests. Every unit is en suite ( shower, toilet, basin ) and all units are air-conditioned.The lodge is serviced by two excellent boreholes. Its proximity to the tar road means Tremisana is easily accessible all year round, including the rainy season. The presence of lions, elephant and buffalo necessitates the maintaining of an electric fence around the camp. Perhaps the most striking feature of Tremisana Game Lodge is the beautiful gardens. The presence of numerous bougainvilleas and various palms and cycads gives the camp a subtropical feel. Water features add a soothing effect and the overall feel of Tremisana is very relaxing. At night, the subdued light from the illuminated paved walkways lend a romantic and magical flavour to this outstanding camp. ... more   less
