Without doubt the highlight of our trip through south africa. Emma an Jacques are excellent hosts and made you feel really at home. The game drives were superb and Jacques does his utmost to track the wildlife. We saw all of the big 5 and much more. He provides explanations about all sorts of animals. We stayed at the Monwana Game Lodge at the end of October. This had the potential for verging into the rainy season, but we were fortunate to have 3 dry days for our stay. The roads in the Thornybush Private Game Reserve (adjacent to Kruger National Park) are not paved and some are quite eroded already, so seriously rainy weather... More

Very good sightings on all drives. Lovely well appointed game lodge with its own water hole. Over abundant food! Emma and Jacque make for a great lodge management team. Nothing was too much trouble. Stayed 3 nights which was ideal.

This place was amazing! Everything was perfect. Everyone was very formal but also incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. The food had so much flavour and we had a lot choice and really was just overall delicious. We would absolutely love to come back again and again.

Our stay was very short, but still very enjoyable! Excellent food and hospitality, along with an excellent game drive with a great tracker and ranger. Will keep on my list of places to visit again - the experience was very personal.
