It was a jolt arriving at the lodge after sleeping in hotel in Frankschhoek, but once Kristi and her staff helped get us settled into our tent, we had the time of our lives. Doctor and Victor were great tour guides on safari. We saw the Big 5 and every day it was a new adventure. Back at the lodge...

We had an amazing time at Chapungu for our very first (hopefully not our last!) safari experience. The staff were amazing and our guide and tracker, Kilmon and Victor, were wonderful and very knowledgeable. We had so much fun with them and learned a ton about tracking and the different animals. Watching them track rhinos and leopards was so interesting...

Safari could not have been better. Saw all big five and plenty more. Safari guide and tracker could not have been more informative . (doctor and aubrey) Glamping tents very comfortable but a little dated. Meals o.k. as long as you are willing to explore the african food. Our butler, Decide was her name was very helpful

Thanks again for everything. We immensely enjoyed staying with you! If you are looking for the perfect place for a safari, this is your place. The tents absolutely qualify for glamping so no worries about low standards! From your shower you have the perfect view into the bush! The staff also prepares the rooms after the morning safari and after...

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at Chapungu which we thoroughly enjoyed. It is a lovely camp with excellent staff and delicious food. We were very well looked after and the game viewing was superb - the big five, plus many smaller, interesting creatures, thanks to our ranger and tracker who were outstanding. The camp is small and...

We travelled as a group of 6. Accommodation was good and comfortable. The food was excellent and very varied. The game drives were very good with a ranger who was friendly and very knowledgeable. We also did guided walks during the day which were very interesting. We saw all the animals. Staff at the camp were helpful and friendly.

Spent four nights here in the tented camp. A wonderful place, staff were lovely and helpful. Food delicious. At night we had dinner in different areas and each place had lanterns around making it look lovely. The accommodation had all the requirements needed, even had a bath on the outside terrace. You were escorted to your room at night and...

I couldn't give this place a 5 because we stayed at another place in Greater Krueger that was just so amazing it made this place seem slightly lacking, even though this place was technically nicer. What we liked: - SAFARI - they did a great job to get us to see the Big 5 among lots of other cool animals....

Not quite as expected in terms of views. See photo from our room. Public areas were very nice though, nice candle lit path to outside eating area. Need to sort out communication with cleaners since on the morning of our departure we had left the suitcases nearly completed on the bed to go and get breakfast. On our return, the...

Been to South Africa a few times and this was a first time a Thornybush. The staff is fabulous and the food was delicious. I felt well taken care of and spoiled. The chapungu camp was peaceful and had animals around and even walking through. The beds were comfortable and I loved the glass shower door to see directly outside!...
