We spent 3 nights in room 3 at Eagles Crag Lodges. Very private decked area with outside shower and plunge pool. Room was very spacious, beautifully designed with the centre piece being a four poster bed. Morning call at 5 from our Ranger sounded pretty unwelcome at first but after a coffee and a bit of 'banter' the excitement of...

Only the side walls are 'tented' but the rooms are very luxurious. Lodge 3 is the best as it overlooks a watering hole. Lower numbers are best as they are much nearer the reception and dining areas. Stunning views. All the lodges in Shamwari have the same rangers and food but this lodge is stunning. Friendly staff.

Our stay at Shamwari game reserve centred around the lobengula lodges which are of traditional construction with thatched roofs arranged around an intimate central courtyard with pool and shaded areas. This lodge offers a full range of services and a fine dining experience in a variety of styles. The service provided by the staff was outstanding at every level, from...

Eagle's Crag has had some great reviews so our expectations were high. We weren't disappointed. The lodges are fantastic, among the nicest places I've stayed in. We were in No 2, it has a double aspect looking straight out on to the forest. The room was extremely spacious and well equipped. All the meals were excellent. The staff too, couldn't...

We stayed for 2 nights in the Eagles Crag in February 2017. It is very expensive so we had very high expectations. Our expectations were met and surpassed. Our lodge within the Crag was excellent. Beautifully designed to provide top quality facilities, blend in and enhance the Crag setting. The Crag is quiet and intimate with, I think, a maximum...

Although I understand that all the lodges are of good quality, we were very happy with our choice of Riverdene. The staff were very friendly, attentive and professional. A great base for your safari. The rooms were huge, clean and well equipped. The bathroom again big, with both bath and shower. The food was very tasty....you would never go hungry...

We stayed in the Shamwari Riverdene Lodge where everything was perfect; the food, service and lovely rooms. The staff were friendly and very efficient, and special mention of Phillip, who charmingly welcomed us and made sure things went smoothly during our stay, and to Mandy who kept our room immaculate. Armon, our ranger, was both a guide an educator sharing...
