We were expecting much before we went on safari. What we experienced though was something else. I wouldn't even know where to start. The surroundings are very authentic, the amount of animals that we saw (in action) was mindblowing, the food was delicious. We could have listened to the professional guide (thanks again Murray) for days. His knowledge of the...

The entire hotel staff really made my stay a wonderful one. From reception, to the kitchen staff, bar staff and all the way to the game rangers - the friendly people ensured we have a great time. The rooms were clean but could still do with a touch here and there. The food was also nice, but I did not...

I recently visited Tau Game Lodge while in South Africa for business. The staff and accommodations were top notch. My game driver, Ernie, was knowledgeable and a great host. His ability to find the Big 5 the first night allowed us the next day to search out other animals. I was privileged to see a leopard not once, but twice...and...

This was the first time that I stayed in a Lodge, but I can only say good things about Tau. The staff is amazing, food is great, bedroom and bathroom nice and clean and with a great view, like giraffes, elephants... you choose!

This was a holiday of a lifetime. Everything was perfect, the service was faultless. 5 star all the way. The game drives are amazing and even when you are relaxing in the hotel you overlook the waterhole which accommodates the big 5 plus many more species. We can't wait to go back. Thank you to all the staff and a...

Having been lucky enough to experience many safari drives at a variety of locations over the years, Tau is without question my most favourite place on Earth. We first visited the lodge last year and we had such an amazing time that we HAD to return. This year, we took my parents as wanted to share our find with them....

As experienced safari goers (25+ years across africa), we'd rate tau 4 stars rather than its official 5 because of the less-than great guides. This was remarked on by all in our group, who were equally impressed with the helpful, friendly staff at the lodge. The thatched huts were good, well separated and each overlooking the waterhole but again 4*...

A quick getaway with friends from Europe. Very short drive from Gaborone, Botswana. Gravel road is terrible but thankfully not too long. Once there, fantastic game drives, lovely rooms and a nice pool. Animals come right up to the property to drink. Would be perfect for a romantic getaway. Exceptional service throughout.
