I didn't really know what to expect since this was my first safari, but it turned out to be exactly what I had hoped for - an authentic experience, highly professional and most friendly staff & service in sustainable & eco lodging (with all the luxuries - clean toilets, warm water, romantic fireplace, great food and very comfortable beds with...

I reviewed the Mosetlha Bush Camp & Eco Lodge a couple of years ago and it is time for an update. I can happily say that a truly phenomenal Eco lodge has only gotten better in the interim. Mosetlha was already a class act two years ago but there have been some significant changes that are worth commenting on. To...

Wow, Tony, thank you! What a wonderful, detailed, beautifully written review - covering the reserve, the camp, the staff - and transcendental field guides, I suspect they'll like that a lot :) - the photographic safaris, and the animals. Thanks for mentioning all your leopard sightings - I think Madikwe really is coming into its own on the game viewing...

I have been visiting Mosethla for many years and they have always delivered! This trip was no exception. I decided at short notice to pay a visit and the booking office was most helpful and friendly. No problem, they said! The pick up at the admin centre was prompt and the guiding staff most helpful with the transfer. The lodge...

Dear 657axelv Thanks for your review - lovely to have you back and we hope you'll be able to make this a more regular thing. (You are the first person ever to comment on TripAdvisor about Madikwe's interesting grasses :) ) I remember the weekend many years ago when you brought your telescope and we all sat out away from...

At long last we came to South Africa, with a primary goal to closely experience the wild game, including the famous "big 5". We started with a short self drive in Kruger Park, followed by a few days at a safari lodge in Kruger which was rated at 5 stars. Two days later we travelled to Madikwe Park and the...

Mosetlha certainly exceeded all our expectations when I visited with my extended familiy on a recent trip to their game reserve. It was simply the best ever, just couldn't fault the team at Mosetlha led by their camp manager moniker nothing was too much for them. The camp was amazing, food delicious, game drives didn't disappoint with lion kills, leopards...

Been for 2 nights and enjoyed the stay immensely. The camp is basic but very well set up and everyone there tried to make our stay as special as possible. It was absolutely no problem to heat water before a shower and the meals were very good. And of course the safaris as such and our guide: simply fantastic! I...

An amazing place, very well run and fantastic guides. Relaxed bush experience. Only comment would be that some of the units are quite close so there is not much privacy, if that important to you. Can't wait to go back!

Dear Pink_and_Yellow Thanks so much for your review - short and sweet! Some of the cabins are adjoining (not sure if you were in one of those) and are kept for families or friends travelling together. And, yes, the entire camp is pretty intimate - reason for this is that we're unfenced and like to keep it this way :)...

I had a wonderful three-night stay at Mosetlha. As an editorial journalist and photographer I know a good thing when I see it. Positioned discreetly in the heart of the wonderful (malaria free) Madikwe Reserve, it more than lived up to its billing as an authentic bush camp and eco lodge. Its size assures intimacy and it has a delightful...
